Have you ever had Hummus? I bought some Hummus over the weekend, I think it is Sundried Tomato and Basil. I like hummus and now with the different flavored ones, it is so much better!
So my husband saw it in the fridge and asked me what it was.
I told him “Hummus.”
“What is that a spread?” he asked.
“Yes!” I replied.
“What is it made of?” He asked.
I tried to ignore his question because he is such a baby when it comes to something he doesn’t like or has never tried. If it doesn’t look appetizing then he makes an even bigger deal out of it. So I waited, waited for the whining to begin.
So here I am in the kitchen with an over grown baby asking me questions about what the stuff in the refrigerator is.
I finally said “Grab a cracker and try it. It is really good.”
“Nope, I am not eating that!” He mumbles and then it happens as he is walking out of the kitchen. He comes out with a comment that makes my stomach turn.
“It looks like pus and I can’t eat anything that looks like pus!” as he storms out.
OH MY GOD..Did I marry a dumbass?? It is freakin orange and I am sorry but I have never even seen orange pus before. Where does he come up with this shit?? Just like his phobia of celery, onions and chunky tomatoes and he talks about Z not liking cheese and egg yolks!! So now I know my husband is as bad as Z when it comes to trying things.
As of right now, there are two containers of hummus in my refrigerator that I can’t even eat because of my childish husband!
5 Verbal..ugh..written diarrhea's:
Diamond, I've never heard of a Hummus until I read your post! Pathetic ain't it. And yeah, after your hubs comments, I'd leave my hummus lying in the fridge too ... LOL!
I don't think we gat that here in South Africa. But I have to agree that I wouldn't eat it after that comment. I'm extremely fussy about what I eat. Drives my bf, J, up the wall. =)
Uhhh I mean GET. =)
Nick - Nah, not pathetic at all!! There are some foods I have never heard of that other people post about that I have no clue about as well.
Jane - I am ok with most things, I was never a fussy eater. I think the thing I dislike the most is Ketchup!!
I've never had it, but it's something a lot of people here like, I hear. My husbands mother loved the stuff, he doesn't like it, but I don't think he'd say it looked like pus. lol. He eats a lot of stuff I hate, including Pimento Cheese spread, which I would say that about, but I hold my tongue. I think he'd eat it anyway, really.
