So Zachary an I spent a few days together, just me and him and I must say, it was really nice. Although I did need a mental break towards the end of day 3!
We were driving in the car and Zachary found part of a gift box in the back seat. It was the part that perforated and supposed to be removed. So he is studying it and when I mean studying, I mean this kid was lost in another world looking at.
Finally he said "Mom, what does safe for food mean?"
He was sitting next to me in the front seat and I looked at him kind a funny and he says "This a part of the gift box you used for Rick's gift, it says safe for food. What does that mean, food can't break out of it?" OH - MY- GOODNESS
Now this came from one very serious young man. Like he actually thought the food would try to escape.
Trying not to laugh, I said "No, it means it is OK to put food in the box."
All I get is a funny look and an "Oh, OK", it was almost like he didn't believe me. After that one I really needed a capresso! I get a lot of those "scratch your head in wonder comments" but nothing quite like that one...awww..out of the mouths of babes!
Can Food Grow Legs?
It's Gone..
I made it through the end of my week! I now have over 10 inches of hair to donate to Locks of Love, Zachary had his toe done and I must say he did much better than I would have and I never made it to the eye doctor. Freakin snow!
We also have a new pet, a Beta Fish named Spike. I went to Walmart on Thursday to look at dehumidifiers and came out with a fish. Zachary was with me and I have sucker written all over my forehead and he knows it! I just hope the cats don't find it and eat it!
Busy, Busy
I have a busy 2 days off, today is what I like to call makeover day and Zach has an appointment in the afternoon. Friday Zach is going to the podiatrist to have one of the nastiest ingrown toenails I have ever seen looked at and then I am off to the eye doctor.
I have been having some major issues with my right eye lately. Sometimes I feel like I need to use reading magnifiers. It has been muh worse than worsening eye sight. Sometimes I just can't see out of that eye! It is really scary! I hope all turns out well when I go.

Makeover Day
I am sooo excited, I have Thursday and Friday off from work and Thursday is makeover day! I am in need of a haircut something fierce. It has has been about 1 year and 4 months since my last hair cut. See that pic to the left? It will soon be replaced with a new one! That pic is about 10 months old and doesn't even show how much longer my hair has grown. Tomorrow, is the day, the Cousin It look will be gone. I should have made up some funny t-shirts about my look, but no worries, a new cut and fresh highlights are on the way! I can't wait!
What Can Be Done?
Yesterday was a very long day for me. I couldn't concentrate at work and I couldn't get that story about the slaughterhouse out of my head. My husband hadn't heard about it until I mentioned it to him and while I was walking on the treadmill, he got to see the story for himself.
My husband has always liked animals, but I don't think he had a whole lot of compassion for all types of animals until he met me. Even he looked sad over this, usually he gets mad at me for watching these types of things. Usually it has to do with me spending to much time at the PETA website, he tried to ban me from going there. I don't go there often because I have been known to cry up a storm, I can't eat and overall, I just get depressed. I think I am in the wrong line of work, I really think maybe I should have or should go and do something for animals.

I Am Appalled
I actually had some extra time to sit and watch the news this morning. Zac has no school this week, they are on school vacation, so it was one less person to get up in the morning.
See Video here http://www.cbs13.com/video/?id=7217@cbslocal.dayport.com
So I was watching the Today Show on NBC and happened to sit down when they decided to air the segmant about Westland Meat/Hallmark Meat Packing. What I saw on tv at 7 am in the morning was one of the most terrible things I have seen. Cows being dragged off of trucks by one leg, being rolled around the floor by use of a fork truck and one of the most disturbing for me was a cow who was laying down on the floor and some asshole was spraying it with water from a hose right in it's face. The direction of the spray, right at the cows nose. Ever get water up your nose? I have and I imagine that it feels the same for the cows.
Here is a statement put out by the President of Westland Meat/Hallmark Meat Packing. I certainly hope that he was not aware that this was going on. I find it very hard to belive that he didn't. Someone must have complained that this was going on. I honestly don't believe this goes unnoticed. How dare these people think that animals have no feelings. why do you think they we screaming and making noises? Because they liked it and were having fun? NO, they were scared and in pain, that's why.
I guess I just have alot more compasion for animals than I should. Maybe I am in the wrong line of work or something. There has to be something that can be done, how can you go home and sleep at night after you have tortured an animal before you kill it. I wonder, how do your pets at home get treated or even you family members. Granted you have a job to do, but it is not to torture the animals before they go to their death.
So it really wasn't the way for me to start my morning. Maybe I am a little late on getting this news, but it still makes me sad to know that people can actually do this.

Nothing beats trying to save money during a home project. If your looking for tile, granite or another type of flooring, check them out and see if they have something you like or are already looking at. You may save some money!
Snickle Dippindoodle
We all need a little stress-reliever! This only takes a minute.
Sometimes when you have a stressful day or week, you need some silliness to break up the day.. If we are honest, we have a lot more stressful days than not.
Here is your dose of humor...
A. Follow the instructions to find your new name.
B. Pass it along!
The following is excerpted from a children's book, Captain Underpants And the Perilous Plot Professor Poopypants, by Dave Pilkey, in which the evil Professor forces everyone to assume new names...
So:-
1. Use the third letter of your first name to
determine your New first name:
a = snickle
b = doombah
c = goober
d = cheesey
e = crusty
f = greasy
g = dumbo
h = farcus
i = dorky
j = doofus
k = funky
l = boobie
m = sleezy
n = sloopy
o = fluffy
p = stinky
q = slimy
r = dorfus
s = snooty
t = tootsie
u = dipsy
v = sneezy
w = liver
x = skippy
y = dink y
z = zippy
2. Use the second letter of your last name to determine the first half of your new last name:
a = dippin
b = feather
c = batty
d = burger
e = chicken
f = barffy
g = lizard
h = waffle
i = farkle
j = monkey
k = flippin
l = fricken
m = bubble
n = rhino
o = potty
p = hamster
q = buckle
r = gizzard
s = lickin
t = snickle
u = chuckle
v = pickle
w = hubble
x = dingle
y = gorilla
z = girdle
3. Use the third letter of your last name to determine the second half of your new last name:
a = butt
b = boob
c = face
d = nose
e = hump
f = breath
g = pants
h = shorts
i = lips
j = honker
k = head
l = tush
m = chunks
n = dunkin
o = brains
p = biscuits
q = toes
r = doodle
s = fanny
t = sniffer
u = sprinkles
v = frack
w = squirt
x = humperdinck
y = hiney
z = juice
Thus, for example, George W. Bush's new name is: Fluffy Chucklefanny. Me personally..I think George W's name should be ......Boobey Lickinhiney
And remember that children laugh an average of 146 times a day; adults laugh an average of 4 times a day. (I must be a child still cause I laugh alot!)
Please share your new name with me!
Allee, Nick, Anne, Mel, Adrian, Marzie, Wen, Kristyn, Ev, Jean, Lois Lane...luv the alias!

It's Official!
My son Z turned 13 today..Waaaaa!! How quickly the time went by! A teenager, can you believe he is already talking about getting a car! Come on now, your only 13! I wish he came with a switch, like one of those HDMI switches so I could turn off time and just sit and enjoy him at this age for a little longer. Soon enough he will be off to college, getting married and having a family of his own. I know it is far fetched and that this is all part of growing up. Oh well, I have the memories to hold on to and that will have to do.

Life, What Can I Say?
Things around here have been crazy. Z is doing wonderfully. I just got his report card and the it looked very good. One A, three B's and one C and I couldn't have been happier! His birthday is tomorrow, he will be 13! I can't believe how fast it has gone by. A week from today he will have his party and I can't wait.
I have decided that it is time for me to look for a new job. My new boss makes me miserable and the company I work for seems to be holding it's own for the most part. I have really had enough of the favoritism and backstabbing. I have decided that I need to lose 20 more pounds and then I will be ready for a job search, plus I need to wait for my bonus check!. I want to look my best! I have managed to lose 10 lbs already and I am feeling great. I am hoping by March I will be 20 lbs or at least close to 20 lbs lighter. It has been hard work, eating right and trying to exercise. I wonder if hoodia would work..nah, I'll keep doing it the way I have been.
Damn I wish they would fix spellcheck!
Well, I am off to see what my fellow blog peeps have been up to!

Short On Cash?
Have you ever fallen in to a bad spot where you have been short on cash? If so you could always consider a payday loan. I have not personally used one, but I know of someone who has. They said that they are not a great way to borrow money but if you have bad credit like him and can not get a loan, then you have no other alternative, especially if you need money now.
If you click the link called payday loan it will take you to a website that will help you get one of these loans. There are some requirements though, like minimum monthly income, you need to have an active bank account and of course, have a job! You want to be sure that you can pay the money back as well.
The website also explains some new laws that went into affect regarding payday loans. I would suggest that you read the changes and if you still have questions about getting a loan, ask your questions or do more research on them. Weigh the pros and cons before you accept the loan. Will you have the money to pay them back weekly, will the interest alone be more than what you want to pay. What ever you decide, make sure you understand what the deal is completely before you accept any money.

It Is Sooo Hot!
I feel like I want to rip all of my clothes off! It is so damn hot in my office I could scream. I think something is way wrong with the heating/air conditioning system. Usually is so cold that I need to wear my sweatshirt all day. Not today!
What Is In A Name?
Have you ever come across a name and it just sounded so inviting? I was checking out this site for Winter Park real estate and thought "That really sounds like a nice place to live! I know it must sound really corny! To me though, it really sounds like a very inviting place. Probably sound more inviting to those who like winter sport and activities. Me, well I don't like the cold so I am not sure I would move there, but it sure sound like a nice place to live.
OK, my corny side it going to end this post now!
Pluck My Nerve
Sorry about this, but it needs to be said. My husband, well, he is quite the douche bag! As you read, yesterday was my b-day. My husband called me at work and sang Happy Birthday on my voicemail, it was really very sweet! Now, to the douche bag in him!
I don't really care whether or not I get a present, but for some odd reason I really would like a b-day cake on my birthday though. I know time to grow up! Well anyways, I didn't get either. He didn't even think about it, well I can't say that, he apologized for NOT getting me one. So it must have crossed his mind at some point during the day. He did bring something home though, a six pack of beer and a pint of Captain Morgan's. Nice! Not a piece of cake, not a cup cake, nothing! But he certainly had what he wanted for himself.
Use Love In Your Words
Do you have a special someone in your life? Are there love letters sent back and forth? If so you may want to check out Valentine's Day fonts. You have worked so hard on that love letter, poem or statement of love. Yet is just seems to be lacking something, something and you can't quite figure it out. Maybe it is something small, small like your font! Add a special touch to that love letter by using Valentine's Day fonts. I sure wish I wasn't at work cause I would certainly be one of the first's to try this out!
You could also use the Valentine's Day fonts for your children’s Valentine’s. You remember when you where in grammar schools and you used to have a Valentine’s Day party, don’t you? This year why not try making those Valentine’s. It would be a great project for you and your kids to do together. Do You Like "Free"?
I personally don't know any one who doesn't like free stuff,I know I do. So with that said, I was checking out this program just to see how it works. With the claim that I can make huge money it made me really want to see what this program is really about. There is a $10 monthly membership fee, but after that they claim everything else is, well, free stuff. This program also is available to people outside the United States, which is definalty a positive. So if you are looking for a hassle free way to get free stuff, you may want to see what this site is about. I plan to look into it more and see if it is something that I am truley interested in.
32 Years Ago
today, I was born. Ugh, I am far from thrilled to admit it but yes, today is my birthday. I have not yet decided whether or not I am going to stay home and lay in bed all day. I have 3 hours to make that desicion. Right now, I have alot of blogs to check up on, seeing as I haven't had much time to do that.
