Up Early....WHY

Today I woke up early, 4:45 am early...why, because it is Monday and I must go to work. Oh wait, no work dummy, didn't your body rememebr that you were laid off until after the new year? Apparently not...This is going to be a long and boring ass week. Thank goodness my husband has to work, I couldn't imagine what I would do if I had to stay home with him all week too...ugh. What am I going to do today?? I guess I could finish the laundry, I most defiantly will be going to they gym. May be I will surf the web for new acne treatment or some new crazy off the wall diet pill. Who knows, all I know is I don't have to go to work. If I seem less than thrilled then you hit that one right on the head. Although I can't stand my job sometimes, I can't stand being home even more..I need a job I love and a family I can stand... As if that will ever happen.. I feel like I am trapped in a nightmare and I will never wake up..

A New Year Is Upon Us

Can you believe that 2009 is right around the corner? I can't! Seems as though time is flying by and at a rate of speed I am not quite comfortable with. If 2008 went by this fast, what is going to happen with 2009?

So the new year is a time for resolutions and fresh starts. I am not so sure that I will have a New Years resolution, I never seem to keep them anyways! What about you? Do you plan to have a New Years resolution? If you feel like sharing, please tell! I love to hear what other people have decided that they would like to change. Do you want to quit smoking, drinking or lose weight so you can fit back into your sexy lingerie? Maybe you want to spend more time with your family or work less or more? What ever it will be, I am sure it will be near and dear to your heart and for no one to judge. Remember though, you have 3 days left to come up with it!

I Luv it, I Luv It!!

I may not like the snow but I know someone who has a blast every time he goes out side!
Check out this short video..It was 5 am and not enough light..awww..what video editing can do.

It Snowed...UGH

I hate the snow and everybody assumes that I should like it because I was born and mostly raised in this snowy hell of the United States...I am originally from Massachusetts and at one point I loved the snow, when I was a kid! I used to play in it all the time and go skiing every weekend, I had fun. When I was about 9 my parents went on vacation to Arizona for 2 weeks. My mom who has has rheumatoid arthritis found that the dry air helped her tremendously. They came home, they talked, they planned and before the summer was over my dad quit his job, rented their house and packed us up for a 2 week drive out West! We stopped at every canyon, amusement park and site seeing attraction you could find on out way to Arizona. It was a blast! I remember my first winter in Arizona, I waited for the snow to come, but it never did. The first winter was a little sad but I soon forgot that snow ever existed!

Then it happened the next year, my brother when off the deep end and they couldn't find him any help so my parents decided that we were going to move back to New England and land in Connecticut. So we drove back, one week in the car and we were here. I had two wonderful years in Arizona and then I came back to what I have referred to as "The Snowy Hell" and every winter since I was 11 years old I have called winter that. And like hearing about the next best diet pills it is old and tiresome.

This all came in 7 hours and we have more to come.

My poor outdoor Christmas Tree...

Code Red

Ugh...we are officially in code red at work! Not good.

I really am having a hard time coming up with something to say for this. I mean, first off, why tell us before Christmas and right before shut down? I understand you want to keep us informed but hell, how are we supposed to enjoy ourselves? It makes me wonder if layoffs will start after the shutdown is over. The "owner" said that he will do what he can to protect jobs at work, he can't protect all of the jobs though and of course he is correct. So as of right now the hiring freeze is still in affect along with the salary freezes, no raises and no 401k match at the end of this year. It is all okay with me seeing as I would much rather have a job! I don't know if my job will be in the first round of cuts, very possible, but I hope not. Well, things could be worse, we could all have jobs in banking..oh wait, didn't some of them get bailouts??

One Week

A week from today is Christmas Day...Hey that rhymed! For once in my life, my shopping is done early. well almost done! There are some stocking stuffers to get, a Teddy Bear Hamster and a Cobra golf club. Very impressed with myself cause usually, I am struggling to start. I have to credit online shopping for being the reason I am done, I didn't spend one day in a store. Now, I have to go! But that's ok, I guess part of Christmas is spending way more time standing in line than necessary.

Today we are having a Christmas party at work. It is more of a potluck type lunch. I am not thrilled about going but, it was strongly suggested that we attend. It kills, work tells me when I have to be there, when I have to go home and now, where I can spend my lunch hour. I can't stand half the people I work with, don't want to eat food the food (last party I went to I found cat hair in one of the dishes I chose, I never went back) and now they are telling me where to spend my lunch! Geezz...

Sigh

I haven't been postiong lately mostly because my computer has been giving my some major crap lately. For about a month now there there has been nothing but problems and one right after another. Monday I was trying to burn pictures to cd and it crashed, alothough I must admit it wasnt the first time. I tried to defrag and it wouldn't let me do that and tried to system restore and I couldn't do that either. My biggest fear, that my computer was going to explode like cheap lingerie on a fat girl..So began the long nerve racking process to recover my computer, after of course consulting with my friend in IT at work. So now that that is done, I am back an ready to go!

My Thoughts On Dec. 2nd & Dec 3rd

I am really surprised that there was not more reaction to the post below. I know this is a crazy world that we live in and maybe some people have issues with believing a 13 year old girl could do this to 2 boys. Maybe the post was just to long and people didn't finish reading or maybe people just didn't know what to say...

Some may have figured it out and some may not have, but one of those 13 year old boys was my son. The girl had 3 pages of shit she made up, the police were so convinced that she was telling the truth that they made my son sign a statement. A statement that could have had serious consequences if they were continued to believe the girl was telling the truth. They would have arrested my son for lying and attempted rape.. My son seemed to be the girls main target, I mean telling the whole school that "Zach tried to rape me" and nothing about the other boy...This girl has no idea what rape is..She is a sick, twisted, demented child that needs serious counseling to deal with her own issues.

Accused, Interviewed and The Truth Shall Set You Free

December 2nd:

Two boys were seen at a girls house, the girls mother was not home. They stood outside and talked for awhile and after a little while the girl went inside house and then two boys went in too. They were in there for a little while and then she asked them to leave because her mother was on her way home. The boys left and continued on to where they were going.

December 3rd:

An officer shows up at one of the families house early in the morning and tells them they need to speak to their son about an incident that happened on 12/2. The officer wouldn't tell the parents what was going on and asked if the could come down Friday with the boy for an interview. The mother, understandably upset, wanted to get it over with and agreed to come down that night. She was told that her son could be arrested and they were sure that he would know what he was talking about. They also told her that the other boy was already question and was told to not talk to the other boy about it, 1st boy was questioned till 10:30 pm at the police department on 12/2. My son comes home from school and tells me that two13 year old boys were accused of attempting to rape a girl 13 year old girl in our town of Plainville CT. One of the boys, the 1st one interviewed did not go to school. The girl told everybody at school that one of the boys tried to rape her and even proceeded to attack same boy in the hallway. According to him, he was in the hall when it happened and a teacher was standing right there and did NOTHING about it. The girl and the boy were later seen with escorts for the rest of the day. That evening the second boy and his mother go to the police department for his interview, the girl accusing these two boys was also there. She was now claiming that this boy at the police station threatened her at school. The boy gives his statement and he and his mother went home, they were there for 2 hours.

Boy and his mother leave the station feeling bummed out, wondering what the future holds. Will he be arrested, will the both of them be arrested. Mom stops for a pack of cigarettes and goes home. The boy goes upstairs, the mom pours a drink, grabs a cigarette and opens the door to go outside and there is a cop in front of her house. The mother laughs, she is tired and now fears that her son will be arrested. They hadn't been out of the station for 20 minutes. The officer apologizes to the mother and asks to speak with her son. Boy comes downstairs from his room and the officer proceeds to tell them the girl admitted that she made up 90% of what happened and the boys did not try to rape her. The officer apologized to the boy for what he has been through and gave him some wise words of advice and leaves.

If you read this whole post I wonder how you feel right now. Please share your thoughts as attempted rape is a serious accusation but lying about an attempted rape in just as bad. What if this was your daughter or what if this was your son. Please share...

OH MY

I hope Cliff over at WIXY's Gone Bananas can shed some light on what the going over in Ohio! I certainly hope this man's wife is going to be ok. I guess shooting off your load has a whole new meaning..

Form Is In

So yesterday we received our unemployment form for the week of Dec. 29th. I filled mine out knowing it will be a small amount of money and it can take 3-6 weeks to get. Imagine that, 6 weeks to get your unemployment check! By this time I will be ready to file my taxes! HA..They keep telling us that we are very busy this month so I am not sure why they are shutting down for 3 days if there is work to do...

What am I going to do with a week off in the winter..Brrrr. Sit home and watch movies I guess, maybe take a trip to see my parents. Even that is questionable, we'll see.

Just My 2 Cents

So I read on the internet that the police are looking for people who trampled the worker at the Long Island NY Wal-Mart. I did post my thoughts on this early today.

"Police were reviewing surveillance videos of the shopper stampede, but they acknowledge it may be difficult to bring criminal charges."

Well, I am sure several hundred of those people swiped either a debit card or a credit card. Look for them from the store records. This mans death should not go unpunished. I am sure none of those people will have a reasonable excuse and I hope that if you are one of the guilty ones that you one day come across my posts. If your ass was leaking from taking alli and then eating to much junk food on Thanksgiving day, then maybe you have a resoanble excuse, maybe. I certainly hope that your families enjoy the "gifts of death" you are giving them. What about the family who lost their loved one. I hope you reach out and give to them. Maybe you all should return your gifts and donate the money to help pay for his funeral costs and the lost income this family will now face..hmmm sounds like a good idea to me.

Today Is

So Friday was Black Friday..one of the or the biggest shopping day of the year. All the retailers have the best deals to entice shoppers to come and spend money. I didn't go out on Friday, did you? Me personally, I can't stand the crowds of people and from what I read it was surely a Black Friday indeed. Several greedy shoppers killed a worker at a Wal-Mart in Long Island NY, they ought to be ashamed of themselves. Is that what the holidays have turned into, killing to get the best deal? All those gifts will be known as the gifts of death, a life was taken for greed. Will the be prosicuted? Most likely not, but as far as I am concerned, they took a life and now must pay the price.

Seeing as today is Monday, actually it is Cyber Monday. Cyber Monday is the official kick off day of the online shopping season. I am fond of Cyber Monday, no need to risk my life to go into a store and purchase a gift. So this is where I will be this fine holiday season, at my computer doing my Christmas shopping. How are you going to get your Christmas Shopping done this year?
