to go back to work! My husband, Z and I have all had this week off. It has been nice to spend time with them but man, sometimes enough is enough! My husband goes to work tomorrow and I will be running a few errands, then Z and I will be going to see his Grandmother who he hasn't seen in a very long time. Then I will have just one more day and it will be back to work for me!
So the car went back into the garage this past week...ugh. Another $175.00 dollars well spent. Wasn't the best time to have to have car problems that for sure. This time it was a cylinder, we also had the oil changed, a tune up and a few belts changed. Tomorrow the Expedition goes for an oil change and its regular transmission service...there goes another $125.00. Does it ever end? I would have really liked to spent the money on something for my husband..he has always wanted a billet grille for the SUV but that is really not a necessity so it will just have to wait!

Never Even Noticed
That I have blogged over 400 posts! That is alot..I know there are bloggers who have quite a bit more than that but 400 is not to bad as far as I am concerned.
It certainly amazes me how technology has changed over the years, I still remember what the first computers look like and the first cell phones, thanks to my mom. Her computer is defiantly up to date but her cell phone, well that was another story. She just got a brand new and up to date cellphone about 3 months ago. I think my son asking her why she had a remote control in her car did it!! LOL..I am not kidding when I say that she has been rockin the same cellphone for 13 years! Come on mom, what was the deal with that?? You were the only person I know in a world of high tech, fiber optic cables, small computer chips, etc, etc..who still had the giant cell phone!
Boy, I wish I had a pic of her using it...glad you were finally forced to upgrade!
This is similar to what my mom used to have! LMAO!! luv ya moms...

Interesting Email
I received an email from a friend of mine and I am not really sure what to think of it. We all at sometime have gotten a "hoax" type email but this one bothered me a little.
Title: Guess I will not be drinking Starbucks any more....
Body:
Recently Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they
wanted to let them know how much they liked their coffees and
to request that they send some of it to the troops there.
Starbucks replied, telling the Marines thank you for their
support of their business, but that Starbucks does not
support the war, nor anyone in it, and that they would not
send the troops their brand of coffee.
So as not to offend Starbucks, maybe we should not support
them by buying any of their products! I feel we should get
this out in the open. I know this war might not be very
popular with some folks, but that doesn't mean we don't
support the boys on the ground fighting street-to-street and
house-to-house.
If you feel the same as I do then pass this along, or you can
discard it and no one will never know.
Thanks very much for your support. I know you'll all be there
again when I deploy once more. Semper Fidelis."
Sgt. Howard C. Wright
1st Force Recon Co
1st Plt PLT
PLEASE DON'T DELETE THIS ..
ALLOW IT TO BE PASSED TO ALL
IN MEMORY OF ALL THE TROOPS WHO HAVE DIED
SO THAT WE MAY HAVE THE RIGHT TO
CHOOSE TO SUPPORT THEM OR NOT!!!
I guess my biggest problem is that the soldiers did not choose to go to war. It wasn't like they all got together in a big field and had a school yard vote about this. You may not support the war but atleast have some compassion for those who have been forced to go and fight in that war. I am sure there are many soldiers who feel the same way, but being that it is their duty, they must go!
If you know anything about this please confirm or deny it. I would hate to think that a company would actually say "They do not support people". If there is an ounce of truth to this email then same on Starbucks and if this email is a hoax, shame on whoever made it up!
I don't drink Starbucks anyways, had it once and wasn't impressed.

End Of Year Is Here
Well 2007 is coming to an end! What a crazy year this has been for me and my family. I certainly hope the New Year brings better things!
We did wonderfully at work. managed to ship just over $44 million dollars of product! That means we will get a pretty decent bonus this year. We reached our max for the bonus, which is 8% of our base yearly gross pay. I am thinking I would really like to go on vacation. Maybe somewhere we have never been. Maybe another country or we could stay in the states and go to Branson, Missouri. We'll see, hopefully the car won't break down like it did this week! Christmas money went poof...right out the window!
How Was Your Holiday?
I hope everyone had a good holiday! Things here were good...Z had a lot of fun as usual. He was a busy guy the last couple of days..He went to his grandparent's (his dad's parents) on Christmas Eve and had a blast, for the most part. That is a story for another time..We went to my mother-in-law's house yesterday..we were late, she freaked out as usual! Gimme a break..
I got this really nice pen for Christmas...I have a pen fetish..I love pens, nice pens, goofy pens. I know pretty weird, what can I say?? Furthermore the ink MUST be blue! No other color is acceptable!
Why Am I Up?
I was surfing around the web this morning, early as hell as usual. I am on vacation till Jan. 2nd so you would think that I would sleep in. Nope..not me! Anyway, I found this dish called paella. Boy does it look yummy! Paella is a rice dish that comes from the Valencia region of Spain. You can add any kind of meat, seafood and veggies to it that you like. Add some spices and cook it in a special pan, the pan is key, and you have your self a dinner meal that sound out of this world!
Now that I am hungry, I think I will go eat some breakfast!
I Just Had To Share This..
really great Christmas card I received from my wonderful Grandmother.
NOT!!!!!!! This bitch does this to me every year and the way I look at it is, if you can't send me a damn card without ad-libbing it, don't fuckin bother!
Don't get me wrong, her and I used to get along great. That is until she said something really bad about my dad about 11 years ago. Ever since then I have stayed far, far away. Maybe next year I will send one to her just like this! Maybe my Grandfather should whip her with a fiber cable! That would teach her! HA!

It Is Almost Over
My Christmas shopping is coming to an end. Thank goodness!! I have a couple more shirts to get for Z and that is really about it.
Last night we went to the store and got presents for his teachers. He found a cute part of socks for one of them. He couldn't have been happier when he found them. It is very obvious that he does pay attention and listen, cause she does wear some silly socks and apparently she has socks for every holiday! These socks are like gloves for your feet. The have a spot for each toe, all the little toes have reindeer on them and the big toes have Santa on them...Z is sure she will love them!

A Childs' Whisper
The boss wondered why one of his most valued employees had not phoned in sick one day. Having an urgent problem with one of the main computers, he dialed the employee's home phone number and was greeted with a child's whisper.
"Hello"
"Is your daddy home?" he asked.
"Yes," whispered the small voice.
May I talk with him?"
The child whispered, "No."
Surprised and wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, "Is your Mommy there?"
"Yes."
"May I talk with her?"
Again the small voice whispered, "No."
Hoping there was somebody with whom he could leave a message, the boss asked, "Is anybody else there?"
"Yes," whispered the child, "a policeman ".
Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the boss asked, "May I speak with the policeman?"
"No, he's busy ", whispered the child .
Busy doing what?"
"Talking to Daddy and Mommy and the Fireman," came the whispered answer.
Growing more worried as he heard a loud noise in the background through the earpiece on the phone, the boss asked, "What is that noise?"
"A helicopter ", answered the whispering voice.
"What! is going on there?" demanded the boss, now truly apprehensive.
Again, whispering, the child answered, "The search team just landed a helicopter."
Alarmed, concerned and a little frustrated the boss asked, "What are they searching for?"
Still whispering, the young voice replied with a muffled giggle...
"ME."

"Excerpts from a Cat's Diary"
Day 983 of my captivity. My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.
Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am. Bastards! There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.
Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs. I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now...
Arh..What Is Happening??
First I got spanked by Google and now I am watching my Technorati rank drop and quite steadily I might add! Over the weekend I was at 233 and this morning I am at 189. What's the deal?? Please make it stop!!
Mother Nature Dumped On Us
Winter is now upon us and it came full force! We had two storms in one week and more snow that we know what to to with. This weekend's storm came in the form of freezing rain, snow and sleet. There is not doubt it will be a white Christmas this year.
Z spent alot of time outside, he did some snow cleaning and hung out with some friends. Surw glad he had volcom clothing to keep him warm. Boy, that kid had a really busy weekend and now it is time to go back to school! One week left and then it is vacation time!
More Babies
So I never made it back online yesterday to finish what I wanted to do. I was to busy looking at baby cribs! Nooo, I am not having a baby, although another one would have been nice. Z is creeping up on 13, geez time flies when you are having fun and I couldn't imagine starting all over again.
A friend of mine is though! She is really excited and this will be her third child! God bless her! I hope she is ready for a ride, cause she already had a 3 year old and a baby that just turned a year. Yesterday she came over to my house and we looked at baby furniture and I must say that there are some damn cute things! Babies, who doesn't love them?
Ladies Man?
Is that what I have on my hands??
Z went to the movies yesterday evening with not one BUT two girls!! He is such a gentleman has well. He went down to their houses and waited for them to get ready to go. Walked out to the truck with them, opened the door..LOL..was quite adorable. (don't tell him I used the word adorable. They were running a little behind schedule and when I asked what happened, he said "Mom, you know how girls are!".. I sure do!
At the movies they found a place to sit (Z in the middle!!), all three of them pitched in their left over money and Z went and got the soda and popcorn. Could be girl bossiness or hopefully he was the gentleman and just went and got it.
So they went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks, they all said it was a funny movie and Zacahery would like to see it again. The girls thought the little fat one, Theodore, was the cutest thing.
I am so happy that Z has been making friends, last year it was a little tough for him. Now that he is on medication, he is much calmer and more likable. He really seems to be redeeming himself. Don't get me wrong, kids at school liked him, but not enough to hang out with outside of school. Well, that is all changing and I couldn't be happier!
Well I have lots to blog about but right now I need to make a payment on my private student loan , can't let that slide! Holiday or not it has got to be paid! I will defiantly be back later with laughs, pics and certainly more drama!! J/k...since my hubby has been on blood pressure medication I have absolutely no marriage drama!

Family Guy
Have you ever watched that show?? I can't stand that show, Z however, LOVES it! I have never heard that kid laugh sooo much in my life. Really, I don't think that a guy whose chin looks like a pair of testicle's should be on TV in the early evening. What do I know though??

I Can't Stop Thinking
My brain is going a mile a minute. What is even worse, I am a pessimist, that combined with the news from my mom, it is not working out very well. I lost it at work today. My department consists of me and 7 guys, so when I had my meltdown they certainly did not know what to do. Usually I am like a brick, nothing penetrates me and I show almost no emotion. Today though, that was a different story. I wish I had a popup blocker for my brain. LOL..wouldn't that be nice!!
I guess I must live in some sort of fantasy land, almost like I don't ever expect anything to happen to my mom. She is my best friend, the only person I have trusted most of my life. I can tell her my deepest secrets and usually the only person I would cry to or in front of. I can't really imagine my life without her, and yes, I know nobody lives forever. I guess I just never imagined that a women as wonderful, honest, loving and someone who never passes judgement on anyone, would have to go through something like this.
Mom, I am pretty sure don't read my blog and that is okay. I did leave my URL on your computer when I saw you over the Thanksgiving holiday. In case that you are reading it, I love you a lot.
I must say that I have since I have started blogging I have been able to let down that wall I have, that very thick wall. Maybe it is because I have been lucky enough to have regular readers who never pass judgement or have bad things to say. I would like to thank you all for that and most certainly can call you "my friends". If the world was filled with people like you all, it would be a much better place...
Informing Yourself, Family & Friends
I have a friend who works in removing asbestos and I often worry about Mesothelioma cancer. This cancer is cause from exposure to asbestos. Even though he has to wear a protective suit when he does the actual removal, I often wonder how well that really protects him. Every year there are 2 to 3 thousand diagnosis's a year..that's a lot!! If you know someone who has been exposed or may work with asbestos, talk to them about Mesothelioma cancer and help them stay informed.
My Mom Got Her Results
About 10 days ago I posted abut my mom having to go for a bone marrow test. Apparently she already had that done and received her results yesterday. She was diagnosed with MGUS. She told me that she has to go for chemotherapy, which means it has progressed to the cancerous stage. It is nice to finally have some answers, but it is not the news I wanted to hear.
My dad got her some really romantic christmas gifts and a trip for the 2 of them away from all the craziness for a weekend. It really is hard to feel festive. I could really careless about anything else right now.
I am sure everything will work out for the best.
Our First Winter Storm
So the snow came and went....for now! They named it Storm Alexander...BUT we are expecting another storm this weekend. The weatherman (the only person I know of who keeps his job even if he is wrong) said we are expected to get 5 to 8 inches and I think some parts of Connecticut got up to 14 inches. Getting home last night was a nightmare. Thank goodness we have 4 wheel drive...I picked my husband up from work and let him drive home. From my job to his it normally takes me 15 minutes, last night it took me 45 minutes...
I have been carrying around my camera wherever I go, here are a couple of pics...
Those red dots are the cars sitting on the highway...we got off on an exit so we didn'ty have sit in the traffic like the rest of the fools....
That is my hubby cleaning the snow off the windshield as we waited to move on the off ramp.

Meet People In Your Local Area
Are you looking to make new friends in your local area? Don't know where to start? Well I found a way you can. Why not try out chat lines? With a chat line you can leave messages or choose to chat live to people. With phone chat you do not have to give out any of your personal information, which is a much safer way of communicating with people you don't know. So if you are bored and want something to do, why not try a free chat??
It's Coming..Ugh..
The snow is coming, I can smell it in the air. No, I don't have dog like senses! When I let my cat out this morning there was a crispness in the air and that classic "it's going to snow smell". It is one of those things you just can't explain.
So we are expected to get up to 8 inches here in Connecticut. It will average out to be about 1 inch an hour. That is a lot of freakin snow!! So if the weather man is correct and it doesn't not warm up, it could possibly be a white Christmas this year.
My landlord just installed new landscape lighting, atleast we had one day well, night, to use it! It will surely look pretty glowing through all the snow!

Lunch Detention
Yesterday Z called me at work when he got home from school, like he does everyday. I start with my arsenal of questions, as I do everyday. How was school, what was for lunch and so on. My biggest question is always saved for last and that is what did you get for points today??
He replied with "85"!! I almost fell over, he has never gotten a score that low. So of course, anything under a 95 needs an explanation and not the answer "I don't know or I don't want to talk about it."
He said "I got a lunch detention for talking in my new math class." Oh boy I thought, thank goodness we are moving him back into mainstream slowly. So I asked why and he explained to me that he and another boy were talking about a math problem and the teacher gave them both, long with 7 other kids lunch detentions!!
Welcome back to the real world!
My Other Blog
Some of you may know and others may not, but I have another blog. I have recently been doing alot of work on it. It is called A Day In The Zone and it kinda sort started as my personal weight loss blog.
To be honest, I have been really have assed at the blog and well, losing weight. I am proud to say that I have lost some weight and I am sooo ready to work harder at it. It is funny how it just clicks, one day you wake up and look in the mirror and you know it is time.
Do I, Don't I
Do you have Condo Hotels or investment property. I often wondered if investment property is something to get into. With the housing market the way it is, I wouldn't want to flip houses, but more like buy property, say at the beach and rent it out. People get a pretty good weekly rate renting. I myself have rented a cottage at the beach and it wasn't cheap. I don't know, it is something to think about I guess.
Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree
how I hope you stay up! la lalala, la lalala
I finally put the tree up last night. I decided I wanted it in a new spot this year and that could quite possibly turn into a HUGE mistake. I am seriously wondering how long it will stay up seeing that I have two cat's who think it is their personal playground! I can only hope for the best.
Miss Kitty loves the tree skirt thingy and my other cat Emmitt, just like to play with all the decorations. I can imagine what they will do when nobody is home during the week. I can see it now: Smashed bulbs, beads all over the place, my tree topper will be terrorized, ugh!
Meet the demolition team..

The Whining Has Begun
My husbands family is really quite odd, as I have blogged about them on several occasions. Holidays are a time to be with family and friends, we usually exchange gifts, at least my husband I try our best. We generally focus on the kids and try to do something for our parents.
Every year my father- in-law gives us a Christmas list! First of all, he is the only adult I know who writes a Christmas list and gives it to his kids. If you deviate from that list, he is gets very disappointed. We have never conformed to his list, mainly because the stuff he is asking for is way beyond out budget.
This year he is asking for a pair of golf shoes, amongst other things. Now I thought that those were a reasonable request, well, I was wrong.
Why is it that at 55 years old you can't be happy with what you get? Why they dragged out attitude and the list like a child? I just don't get it. I can't STAND my mother-in-law, but at least she is not childish like that!

Wow Things Change When You Get Married!!
My husband and I have been married for over two years...seems much longer than that. Feels like it has been an eternity!!LOL..anywho..
Only about six months ago did we get on the same car insurance policy. I was certainly surprised how much our insurance went down. I am not sure if our insurance is considered cheap car insurance, but I will say we pay $100.00 a month less than we did before for 2 cars and not being married. What the hell were we waiting for?? As for home insurance, we don't own our home but we should have renter's insurance. Maybe someday I will look into that. Hopefully not before it is too late!!

Z's First Day Back
I am so happy, Z went back to main stream classes at school today. Not all of them, just 2, but it is enough for now. He starts with a support math class, they review what will be taught in the regular ed class that day. After that he goes back to his special ed class and later that morning he goes to a regular ed math class. I called his STRIVE teacher (special ed) and she said his first class went fine. He was excited that he knew all the work!!
Slow but steady wins the race!!
Still Christmas Shopping??
I know I am!! I have done a lot of my shopping online. I can't stand crowds of people and traffic, so it really works for me. I still have a few more things to get, some of which I WILL have to go to the store for. For the rest of it I found this new site that finds the discount code for some of the stores you may shop in or at, online that is.
What is better this time of year than an extra discount when you are trying to make every dollar count? They have a discount code for a lot of stores. Gap, Karmaloop.com, Bluefly, Lane Bryant, Buy.com and Dell, just to name a few! Christmas is getting more and more expensive every year and it certainly wouldn't hurt to take a peek! If you are so interested in going and looking, sign up for your favorite stores newsletter and get the news in your email.
So if you are interested in saving money this season, check them out.

What Is Happening
I often wonder what this world will be like when my son has kids and his kids have kids. Today there was another mass shooting, this time in a mall. The shooter killed 8 people and then himself. What a fuckin coward. To me, there is nothing worse than a person who has the balls to take another person's life, yet can't take the consquenses of his or hers actions.
I am not sure what they crime is like in other countries, but I am sure ashamed of the one I live in. Parents killing their babies because they don't address them as "Sir", hoodlums breaking into others homes and shooting them, which results in the death of a 24 year old NFL star, hell, even NFL stars abusing animals. Parents, who leave their kids uncared for, with no love, no food, a crappy home to live in, filled with abuse and violence.
Rape, murder, violence, anger, hate, war, it corodes the media airwaves. I can't turn my TV or radio on with out hearing something.
Quite frankly, I am sick and tired of it all.
Clean The Lint Out
LOL..I actually think I really want one of these. The lint b gone is one of nifty little tools every drier needs. I see the amount of lint I get from the lint trap, so I can only imagine how much gets through into the drier vents. I guess with the rising energy costs it may be worth the small investment. My drier is a few years old and I have never cleaned anything except the lint trap. If you have one let me know wjat you think.
It's Sooo Cold
Winter is my least favorite time of the year. It gets dark early, it's cold and most of all, I hate having itchy skin. Every year when the heat goes on, my skin dries out and it becomes unbearable. I have tried what seems like 1,000 and one different lotions and nothing seems to help. It has gotten so bad that I have scratched myself till I bleed! Please, if you know of any good lotions, please let me know!!
Argh!!!
What To Think??
My Mom has been sick for quite sometime. Shortly after my wedding 2 years ago she had neck surgery. It never really helped and come to find out only one of the four screws hit its mark. So she has (well had been) been in the process of getting ready for another surgery on her neck.
While we were at my moms over the Thanksgiving holiday I found out she was supposed to have another surgery! All she said, very matter of fact, was "Oops, I didn't have a chance to tell you about that one yet!
I guess the second surgery involve the chronic headaches she has. They will insert some type of electrode in her skull, run wires under her skin and down her back. Insert some kind of battery pack under the skin but in her hip are!
Then I get a call last week from her, saying that they cancelled surgery number one because they figure that it won't really help and that there are more tests to be done to find out why she has lost so much weight, even though she eats plenty. (she is 5'7" and weighs in at about 100 lbs!) As usual, very secretive and not telling me too much. I know she doesn't want me to worry. I was convinced after this conversation she was dying. She tells my she has a nerve disorder.
So last night I called my mom and she was not home from work yet, so I talked to my dad. I asked how she was feeling and he said "Oh about the same." We talked about how they cancelled the surgery and I asked what was next.
This is what he says "Oh well she had more blood work done but she still needs to have a bone marrow test."
Me "What, that is the first I am hearing about this." I could tell I wasn't supposed to know cause he got really quiet and said" She didn't want to worry you.".
Me again "Why a bone marrow test??"
He then barked at me and told me "I don't know!"
I know they know what is wrong, they just aren't telling me. It is really beginning to piss me off. I have watched my mom whither away to nothing over the last 2 years.
Not feeling the secrets at all!!!
Anyone ever heard of a bone marrow test to diagnose a nerve disorder??
My mom is on the left (in white t-shirt).
This picture was taken the night before my wedding.

Z and A Cellphone
Z has wanted his own cellphone for as long as I can remember. So I decided that this year for Christmas I would get him one. I know how Z moves to his own beat, so I also decided that it would have to be prepaid. I have researched all the companies that provided prepaid service and have narrowed it down to two. I yet have to make up my mind on which one.
Now for the problem, my husband decided to tell my mother in law we are getting him a phone and she decided she will get it for him for Christmas. I almost lost my mind. My husband who thinks all prepaid phones are the same, says I am over reacting. He feels it is not a big deal which one he gets. Well, my dear hubby, you are sadly mistaken, I prefer to have a decent phone for him. They cheaper the phone, the crappier the signal which would then require a cell phone booster. I would prefer a decent phone. Secondly, I WILL choose the carrier. If most of his friends have the same carrier, free mobile to mobile minutes would be better. If not, then there is one more plan I have in mind. Soooo, no, not all plans are one in the same!! Oh and next time, check with me first before telling people what to get!
Unlimited Income
That crazy Spaceman Spiff tagged me for the World's Easiest Tag. I would have to agree!
Question put forth: What are the 5 gifts I would buy for myself this Christmas if I had an unlimited income?
1. I would buy that mountain for my dad that I have been hearing about my entire life!
2. Oh and he would need a helicopter too, make it two of them, my mom needs one!
3. I would buy my own city, would be the drama free zone!
4. A horse, I always wanted my own horse.
5. I would open a shelter for cat's.
Katie's New Do
I am not one to criticize one's choice of haircuts, but I haven't quite figured out what Katie Holmes was thinking. This new do of hers is not flattering at all, well that is just my opinion. I think it makes her look older. Quite honestly, I feel like I could pull it off her head, like a wig. It looks like a wig!! Maybe it is because I have been so used to seeing her with her long hair but his hair cut is killing me!!
Shrek The Third
One of my all time favorite movies is Shrek. I loved the first two and have them both on DVD. Last night I rented Shrek The Third. Just as I expected, I loved it. I have to give it to who ever came up with idea to make all the fairy tale characters, dysfunctional. To take the personality of each one as we know them in the fairy tales and add a bit of neurotic behavior that fits each one. This movie is filled with the same great, yet suddle adult humor as the other two.
This movie's plot is based on finding the "right king" for that great piece of luxury real estate known as Never, Never Land after King Harold dies. Of course that snotty and disliked Prince Charming thinks he should be the king of Never, Never Land and rallies with the all the fairy tale villains to take over the palace and kingdom.
How the movies ends....you must watch it!

Who Said Learning Can't Be Fun
Not to long ago I received a box from UPS, well two boxes. Inside these two boxes were two games and a bucket of gears. These educational toys were sent to me by Learning Resources. I have to admit that they were a lot of fun. Now I am a big kid at heart so this one was easy.
My favorite one by far, well, the bucket of gears. This set let of gears allowed my imagination run wild. The gears were all different colors, sizes and shapes and the pieces were big and defiantly would be easy for even the smallest of hands to handle.
The gears came with a sheet of stickers to put on some of them. Some of those stickers were glow in the dark! I would have to say that my favorite thing was the motor and the lights. The motor allowed my creation to “come to life” and the lights sure made it more exciting. You defiantly learn how to make all pieces work together.
If you know a child who loves to build things, I would recommend this set! I know I had a lot of fun with it.

December 1st
I can not believe that it is already December. Where did the time go?? A lot has happened this year, some good, some not so good.
I haven't talked much about Z, but he is doing wonderfully. The program director for the S.T.R.I.V.E program he is in at school, has decided that he can start going back to main stream classes this month. I am so excited!! He is too, but a bit nervous, which is completely understandable. Originally he was supposed to start classes after the new year. He has been so consistent with his behavior and homework that they decided he could start now!! I am still waiting for a start date, hopefully next week.
