This morning I did not wake up in a very good mood. I think the heat has a lot to do with it. I ended up running late this morning. Not good this seeing as I had a ton of work left to do from yesterday.
I left my house at 7:45 a.m. and I am supposed to be at work at 8:00 a.m. Well I got here at about 8:15. My excuse, because I needed, no, wanted to feed my caffeine habit and get an ice coffee.
So I stopped for my usual morning ice coffee and as I am leaving there is a guy outside with a gas can. (I stopped at 7-11, there is a gas station at this location) He looks like he hasn’t had a shower and not very kept up. He sees the cash in my hand and waves his gas can at me and asks “Could you spare some money?”
Ummmm…..what ever happened to can you spare some change? I guess I should not have expected anything less, seeing as I did have cash in my hand.
“No, sorry.” I replied as I looked at the $2.25 in my hand. So he gives me a little glare and walks back to where he was leaning up against the dumpster. I get in my car, start it and put my seatbelt on. Now I have another bad habit and that is smoking. So I grab a cigarette, light it and look up. I swear this guy must have been grillin me because then he signals for one of my cigarettes. Give me a break pal, shook my head no, rolled my eyes and tried to drive away. Well I was so perturbed that I put my car in drive when I should have been reverse. I thank god I didn’t step on the gas, I just rolled forward and hit the curb in front of my car. If I had hit the gas I would have ran his ass over!!
Now, I have no problem with charity. We make enough money to live and donate to a worthy cause. Usually I make donations to the school my son goes to. I help sponsor trips for students that maybe less fortunate. I think that is a pretty good cause!
So I really do not feel the need to give money to someone who doesn’t work. If they do, they have a such a bad habit that it requires them to go out and hang around a gas station begging for money to fuel that addiction or the need to eat. I was born at night but it certainly was not last night. I know that gas can was a cover up. Well, I didn’t know, but I assumed especially after he didn’t ask anyone else going into the store or the people coming out. I think he thought I was an easy target because I already had the money in my hand. Shame on me, next time I will put the money away before I leave the store..
Am I Wrong For Feeling this Way?
Today At Work It's Review Day
yea..(can't you see the enthusiasm)
Once a year I am evaluated on job performance and if I have been a compliant employee I will receive the "standard across the board" 3% wage increase. The last two years I have received that bonus with a 1/2 assed smile and tried to show how grateful I was even though inside I wanted to bitch slap them into next year. Sitting in front of a firing squad with a smile is not pleasant when all you feel is sheer disappointment.
This year there will be no smile. I get the 3% it will barely cover the increase on my my medical insurance. 4% would cover the increase and 5% would be start on showing how that they thought I was doing a great job.
I will be back later with either a rant or a rave. Time to go an get ready for work!!
Happy Blogging!!
Support Our Troops
Many of us have helped support our troops with care packages and letters of encouragement. During my morning surf session and coffee I came upon another Support Our Troops website.
We all have DVD's we don't watch because we bought it or received it as a gift and we don't like it. Or it could be that you just watched it so many times that you really can't watch it again. So instead of throwing it away or letting it sit in your DVD rack collecting dust why not donate them to Operation DVD? There is a mailing address where you can send them. The also have a telephone number to call if you would like to drop them off at a collection box and need to locate one. If you don't have any DVD's you want to donate you can donate money (yes, it is tax-deductible) that will help pay to ship these movies to the troops, you can do that as well.
What Does Your Company Pay You To Do?
What do you get paid to do at work?? What I mean is - What is your company paying you to do when you are actually not working on job related things? Come on you can tell me, I won’t tell!
Me: I get paid to blog. I try not to but it is really hard not to. Some day’s I have a ton of ideas and a whole lot to say. Other days not very much but I still have the need to blog!!
Officemate #1: She gets paid to sleep! She is the inspiration behind this post is and I dedicate it to her!! Personally, I think it is time for her to retire, at 70 years old if you are falling asleep at work at 11:00 a.m, either you need to see a doctor, just in case something is wrong or you are just so physically tired and need to sleep a little later.
Today was extra special because she got caught by a lead person #1. Lead person #1 actually thought it was so funny, he had to leave the office. Officemate #1 has HUGE and I mean HUGE breasts. So she is sitting in her chair sleeping and her chin is on her chest. It kinda looked like a pillow….. LOL
Officemate #2: He gets paid to surf the Internet and write long ass emails that NOBODY ever reads. BTW, he doesn’t sleep or have huge boobs!!
So tell me your secrets…What does you company pay you to do????

Happy Anniversary To Me!
Today I have been at my job for 3 years! Not to bad, not the longest job I have ever had, but none the less, it is an accomplishment. Seeing as when I started here, there was absolutely no one to train me on the job. I knew the basics because I have been in Quality Assurance for ever! So 50% of it was a cake walk.
As for the other 50%..well that was a little less than desired. There was no one to train me on parts of the job that were new to me. There was no one to say these are the reports you need to take care of.
I can remember being in this position for 2 months and I get a call from the VP of Sales asking me why I hadn’t done the RMA Charts for June, July and August. The same person wanted to know where my end of fiscal year report for RMA’s was. HUH?? The fiscal year ended in June, it was now the end of August.
Then 3 weeks after that I received a tag team call from the Purchasing Manager and the Finance Officer wanting to know why I had $150,000.00 in the nonnettable stock location for RMA’s & MRB’s..Ummm
About the same time I was supposed to be closing and authorizing the closing of these said RMA’s. I’ll tell you I was lost and no one was there to help me. I came from a Heat Treating Facility, we offered a service, we didn’t make anything. So the RMA’s were a new thing for me.
I can say that it has been an interesting 3 years, some good times and some bad times. People come and go, one day they are here, the next they are gone! Well, here is to another year!!!
(I hope :0)
Sigh..What A Sad Day For Me :0(
So I guess seafood is now a big no-no for me, what a sad day. Isn’t it funny how your body changes over the years?
About a year & ½ ago I had lobster at my father in laws house. While I was eating it my hands got really itchy. I kinda dismissed it and went on with life. Well over the last year I have had lobster a couple more times, as well as shrimp. With the same results. Only when it started with the shrimp was when I wondered if I was possibly developing an allergic reaction.
So today for lunch I had a green salad with tomatoes, black olive and Balsamic Vinegar Dressing and old shrimp with cocktail sauce. Sounds good huh? Well you know what happened next, right?
As I was eating my hands started to get itchy, I thought “What ever, I’m still eating the shrimp.” and I kept on eating. Now I am a multi-tasker, I eat and work, so it takes some time for me to eat. Well with in 30 minutes I started to notice that my throat started to itch, a little odd I thought. Kept on working and eating. A few more minutes went by and now my throat really itches and I find that I feel like my throat is closing. I run in the bathroom open my mouth and look in the mirror and would you freakin know it, it looks like I have swollen tonsils.
I dragged my ass to the Safety Engineer and I said “Something is wrong with me!”
Well, we already knew that!” he replies “ Tell me something I don’t already know.”
I looked at him and said “Very funny, but I’m not f’in foolin around!”
“What is the problem?” he asks.
“I had lunch and my hands are itchy and I feel like my throat is closing!” I answered.
He says “Ok, open your pie hole so I can take a look” (He’s lucky I like him!)
He takes a peak and says “What was for lunch, young lady?”
“Salad and shrimp.” I replied..
Well seeing as your tonsils have been removed, I would guess that you are having an reaction to the shrimp that you ate.” He said. “Do I need to call the ambulance to come and get you?
“No, I don’t think so.” I said.
“Ok, well you need to sit in here with me until you feel better.” He added.
Yeah for me I thought and I sat there.
Well needless to say I made it back to my desk after sitting there for almost 2 hrs and now I am annoyed #1 because I got nothing done, #2 it will all have to be done tomorrow because I leave in 15 minutes and the biggest annoyance of all, I CAN’T EAT SHRIMP OR LOBSTER ANYMORE!! I have to go see the doc for an allergy test to confirm. But it is really a sad day for me. :0(
Comparison Shopping For Home Appliances.
If your washer, dryer or refrigerator suddenly died, how would you do the research to find a replacement? Like most households you probably have a computer with internet service and if you are reading this, then you do!
So your washer has finally died and you know you are interested in looking at Kenmore Washing Machines. Now the task at hand is deciding which models to look at and having the ability to compare prices, all without leaving your house or going to multiple websites. Check out www.krillion.com . They offer localized results for the appliance you are looking for. What I mean by that is, they will tell you what stores carry the Kenmore Washing Machines you are looking for and give you the price as well. Convenient, huh? So why not check it out and pass the link along to family or friends.

Rachel Ray
I can’t get away from her!! I just turned on my radio here at work and the first voice I hear is Rachel Ray's.
Every time I turn around I either see her on the television or hear her on the radio. She has always plucked my nerves. I couldn’t tell you specifically one reason why, maybe it’s her voice, just the way she looks or watching her on her $40 A Day Show and how she carries herself. She is now the new face of Dunkin' Donuts. Argghh, I can’t get away from her!! And sadly, according to the Dunkin' Donuts press release, I will have to deal with it until 2010.
All I can say is ……………Fantabulous…ugh...

Encourage A Child's Dream
I know I have mentioned the radio station WCCC a few times. I listen to them on my way to work, at work and on my way home.
Last week I was listening to the Sebastian in The Morning Show. They were talking to a man by the name of John Denner. John Denner is a self taught one handed guitarist. When I heard him play I was absolutely amazed. He dreamed of playing the guitar since he was a kid. He designed a special pick, studied how other guitarists played and then tried himself. He said he waould play for a while and give it up.
You my wonder why I am posting about this man. I do not know him, nor had I ever heard of him before last week. I think it is really about inspiration and teaching your children, disabled or not, that you can do what ever you want if it is in your heart. I have a child who is considered disabled under other health impairments and a child who also happens to say "I can't" an awful lot. Granted he is not physically disabled, but whether physically or mentally disabled it all takes the same toll on your self esteem. When I showed him what this man had accomplished he was amazed...So please if you have a child or know one, a niece, nephew or even a next door neighbor who may be disabled or not, please encourage them to be all they can be and if they ever say they can't tell them "Yes, You Can." Then help them, help them accomplish their dreams...

Willing To Help A Friend
“Z” called me at 12:30 and asked if he could go to his friend’s house. I really like his friend; I’ll refer to him as “A” from now on. I said “Yes, but you need to call me when you get to his house.” “Z” agreed and left. Well, come 1 o’clock I still had not heard from him. “A” lives 2 minutes away, so I called and got no answer. Oh Boy, my mind starts to think awful things but alas, the phone rings, it’s “Z”. He says “I am sorry I forgot to call. I was helping “A” and his brother clean the basement.” I replied ”Oh OK, well you need to remember to call me.” I give him his new time to check in, we exchange “I luv U’s” and get off the phone.
Now, what got me about this whole conversation was “I was helping “A” and his brothers clean the basement.” Hmmm, you won’t even help me clean the basement or anything else for that matter. I have to beg and bribe to get you to help me.
Don’t get me wrong, he has to make his bed everyday, pick up his room, clean it thoroughly on Wednesday, washes dishes three days a week and bring the trash to the road. He knows this and most of the time it is without argument. Outside of that, NO WAY, it is like pulling teeth for anything extra. He will clean the car, usually because there is money involved!
So I guess there is a lot to say for a little boy, or as “Z” would say “Teenager” who is willing to help a friend do a chore that nobody looks forward to doing, even adults. Never mind doing with no reward what’s so ever except a good old fashion “Thank You”.
And they told me my son had no empathy and very little motivation to help others!
What do they know!!
"School Is Out For The Summer"
“Z’s” last day of school was Thursday, June 21st. (I’m a little behind on posts, seeing as it is now Sunday) I have to say, Thank Goodness!! You are probably thinking that I must be nuts, but if you knew how this school year went you would understand.
For those of you who may not know, “Z” was diagnosed with ADHD with impulsivity, ODD (co occurring) with Tic disorder (Tourettes) from taking stimulant medication to treat the ADHD. The culprit, Methylphenidate aka, Ritalin or Concerta just to name a couple.
He also takes medication for auditory hallucinations. When I heard “auditory hallucinations” my first thought was Schizophrenia. They are not calling it that but it is always in the back of my mind. To add to all to that, he is learning disabled and the school didn’t have room in the “budget” to get him into Special Ed until the new school year starts. There will be 4 students going to High School so that opened the door for “Z”. Pretty sad that a child has to suffer all school year because of a “budget”.
So, back to my story..”Z” had a combined total of 12 in school & out of school suspensions and an undetermined amount of detentions. He is not a “bad” kid. He doesn’t beat kids up, doesn’t destroy property and has no trouble with the law. He had become quite friendly with the security guards at the school. Seeing as he had been escorted by them a few times. When you spend lots of time in detention, you really get to know them. I found out not to long ago that two of them are brothers!
I blame myself for alot of it. He has some personal issues with his Dad, who he does not see and he is extremely angry with him. I cannot say that I don’t blame him. He went untreated all school year for the ADHD. I wasn’t to keen on making that Tic Disorder worse and the Doc agreed. I didn’t know about the auditory hallucinations until the school decided to run a battery of tests ½ way through the school year. When the reports where written and presented, I was mortified and immediately contacted his private counselor and got him set up to see a child psychiatrist.
I should have known though, there were times I would hear him talking to himself. I do that a lot so I passed it off as a learned behavior. He would also ask “what?’ or “what did you say?” when nothing was said. (I still beat myself up over that to this day.)
“Z” will be in 7th grade next school year and I am hoping that it will be much smoother. 6th grade really wore me down and I really could not have handled much more. He will be attending the school's Strive program (special ed). I will talk more about that another time.
All things considered, my son is a great kid. He is fun to be around (at times..LOL) he has a great personality, a girlfriend, a lot of friends, loves to skateboard and ride his bike.
I love him a lot and I wouldn’t trade or change anything about him!

Blogging
I think I am addicted to blogging!! At the beginning of this week I found myself surfing the web looking for articles on how to be a better blogger, how to track stats, links and so on. What is worse I was doing at work!! Not a good thing, my job has all the latest technology for tracking Internet use. I have never been confronted with my use of the web and I really don't want to draw attention to myself either.
So I decided that I started this blog for me!! Some where to go and reflect on my day. I really love blogging, but not enough to risk losing my job. Personally, stats and ranks really are not why I started doing this..I just like telling my story and hope to make a few connections along the way....Thanks to all who read my blog on a regular basis!!

Working Saturday
It’s Saturday at 7:15 am and I am at work..No big deal, everyone in my house sleeps late anyway! I have plenty to do in my office and seeing how Saturdays are fairly quiet, it is a good time to come in and get stuff done.
“Z” did try the guilt trip on me last night. I told him I was going to go to work for a few hours and he looked at me and said (with the sweetest face) “But you always work Saturday!” He is absolutely correct and it made me feel bad. So I decided that from now on I would get to work at 6 am on Saturdays and leave no later then 10 am rather than noon. He usually sleeps till then, so I figure if I get home when he just wakes up he won’t feel so sad.
My husband is always home on Saturdays, but he sleeps REALLY late!! I really don't know how he can sleep so late. I am usually up at 5 am, yes, even on the weekends. On Sundays I force myself to go back to sleep and I usually wake up at 8 am. That is the latest I can sleep. Well, unless of course I have gone out and tied one on!!
So come on people..IT'S TIME TO WAKE UP!!
Thinking Blogger!!
I wanted to take care of this before I get busy AGAIN and forget…
Taking my first set of bows and sending out a huge thanks to 2 of my fellow bloggers..I received The Thinking Blogger Award!!
The first one was awarded to me by NickPhil67 . Thanks!! I have to say I was shocked, I was reading it first thing in the morning (5 am) and wasn’t really sure that I read it correctly until after I had my coffee. I felt like I received a million dollars, I was walking around the house smiling from ear to ear!! Thank goodness my husband didn’t see me, he certainly wonder what I was up to! LOL
The second one I discovered today when I actually had time to hang out at at Blogcatalog.com. In my messages there was another one from A Nice Place In The Sun.. Now I am extra shocked and my officemate is giving me some starnge looks and wants to know why I am being all cheezie! Thanks so very much..
I just wanted to say my thank you’s first and I will be posting my award recipients tonight when I get home..Good Luck To You All!!
Ever Have A Confrontation At The Store?
I thought to myself, “No big deal as long as they leave before I get down there.” Well, no such luck. I finish ringing up my stuff, pay; grab my change, receipt & go to bag my stuff. The women are still there, now blocking me from bagging my groceries. As much as I wanted to say “Get the f*ck out of my way!” I kept the quick temper in check & said “Excuse Me.” The lady nearest to me moves just enough so I can get the groceries in the bag, but rudely does not acknowledge the fact that I am even there & even worse none of the move so I can leave.
Now the whole time I am bagging I am scanning the area to see who else is around. I already know that this is going to get ugly & it is 4 against 1! I wasn’t worried about getting my ass kicked, more worried about how loud this was going to get. So right away I notice 2 police officers, “There’s my back up” I thought (no pun intended).
Now I am ready leave, “Be nice” I thought to myself, “Excuse me” I said in a very calm voice. So you guessed it, no response. Theses woman continue to stand there as if they owned the world talking & blocking me in. So I said a little louder “Excuse Me!” Still no response, nothing! I feel my blood pressure start to rise & my quick temper starts to come full force. I make eye contact with one of the officers, who now is making their way over to where I was & I lean over to the woman closest to me (she is about 5 feet tall, I’m 5”3’) & in a very loud and annoyed voice I say “EXCUSE ME!!! DO YOU MIND???” She spins around & says “You stupid f*ckin b*tch, what the f*ck’s your problem? You know I should f*ckin smack you in your f*ckin face!”
What type of lady speaks with that type of language around children? My personal opinion about that is, someone needs to cut her tongue out of her mouth so no one has to listen to the garbage that flows out of it.
I have no fear of ignorant people like that & I said “I asked you politely a total of 3 times to move, you chose to ignore me. Now I am going to ask you again” so I said “Would you PLEASE get out the hell out of my way & if you really want to smack me, please feel obligated to do so. I’m sure that police officer standing right there would be real interested in witnessing it!” I turn to see the officer smiling at me & they finally move. As I am walking by her she says “You f*ckin white bitch, you got lucky” So instead of returning the comment with a racial slur of my own, I looked at her and said “You got that right honey, I am a b*tch & no, you’re the one who got lucky!!” Standing tall I turned around & left the store.

Have You Checked Out Smorty?
I thought I would let you guys know that about Smorty. If you want to make a few extra bucks toget paid to blog, go and check them out. I was just approved and hope to have great success with them.
Smorty seems to be a little different than other pay to blog sites. They require all posts to be no less than 150 words and no more than 400. That’s a lot of words!! If you a good writer I am sure you will have no problem writing the minimum, especially if you are blogging for money! What I really like about Smorty is, you are paid on a weekly basis! That’s right, every week your payment is deposited into your Paypal account. How great is that?
Another thing about Smorty is they give you up to 72 hours to complete your post. That is a great for those who really want to make a good impression. I like it because if the phone rings while I am writing, I won't have to feel like I should ignore the call to get the post completed. Well, that is of course if I haven't waited till the last minute.
Smorty also offers an affiliate program if you are looking to try to make a little more money. Add one of their banners to your blog. Then just wait for an advertiser to come along and click that banner. After the advertiser completes a transaction you are paid a percentage of the cost..Hmmm sounds like easy money to me!
So, if you want to make a little extra moohla to get paid to blog or if you are an advertiser and you would like to have your site reviewed on a blog the, go and check out www.smorty.com... Happy blogging everyone!! ;)
Chris Berman Should Watch Where He Picks!!
You never know who is watching.........
So I am sitting here reading some negative comments about my post on Chris Berman. That is to be expected, I don’t really give a shit. I have my big girl panties on!!
These are a few over at The Big Lead
Almost undoubtedly a complete fabrication.
Left by JJV on June 15th, 2007
This may be the most juvenile immature post I’ve ever seen. And I have to agree with JJV. I call bullshit.

i call bullshit on that story

What evidence do you have to call bullshit? You have the burden of proof of such a call if you want to make such a bold claim!

I decided that I will not defend myself anymore. I will entertain everyone with the picture of my husband and Chris Berman as this was a concern over at Fang's Bites. The picture is date stamped and I will also post my ticket stubs and from there take it any way you like!! I am willing to bet that this has been witnessed before and maybe even by others at ESPN.
When I came back to work I was talking to a coworker and we were laughing about the incident, which I am sorry but, is quite amusing. My co-worker knows someone who has dealt with Mr. Berman and not only is he nasty but, he is inconsiderate and cheap. I think you all may know more about Chris Berman that I do, as I said in my original post, I had never recalled hearing his name before that day.
We need to face the fact and just realize that people, even famous people do gross, nasty things in public everyday. I just happened to witness Chris Berman do it on a crowded airplane. I send out my sincere condolences to the passenger who had to sit in the window seat and the passenger who had to sit in the aisle seat in front of us, BUT next to Chris Berman.
And yes, it was worth blogging about!!!!!

Class Trip
So my son was supposed to go on the 6th grade class trip Monday. Now he is not going! I kinda feel bad for him, but at the same time I think he did not heed my warnings about his behavior. We discussed how he needed to be on his best behavior at school, mind what the teachers say and do his best. It seems like he just doesn't know when to stop and before he knows it he has himself in a heap of shit!!
He has some issues which I think don't really help him when he tries so hard to be could. He has been diagnosed with ADHD with Impulsiveness, ODD, Anxiety, Tourettes brought on by taking Ritalin for 4 years and auditory hallucinations. On top of it all about 5 years ago his father walked out of his life and he is really pissed off about that! As I type and read I and think, Holy Shit, how does he function?!?
"Z" takes medication for the auditory hallucinations but nothing for the ADHD because the doctors are afraid that it could that the stimulant's prescribed for ADHD will make the Tics worse. I am grateful that his psychiatrist is not a "pill pusher" but this is just becoming to much. He had more detentions than I can keep track of, the teachers are sick of dealing with him. I feel bad because I feel like I haven't done enough for him and something more needs to be done. We have an appointment tomorrow with the doctor again and I think we will discuss what we could possibly due for next year.
"Z" was just accepted into an alternative school program at the beginning of the week. I think it will work out good for him. There are only 8 kids in the class and it is very structured. He is very excited to go more because the classes are small. What he didn't really know about was what the rest of the program was about.
He will learn coping skills, along with behavioral modification and social skills. There will be no outside contact with the mainstream classes. They arrive at school before everyone else, leave before everyone, a school bus will pick them all up and bring them all home.
We'll see, he is a great kid who had such a rough year. He really hates school more than anything and I hope that next year it will be a little different!
My Flight Home With A Sportscaster...
Last year, February 2006, my husband and I went on a cruise to the Western Caribbean. The flight to Florida was great, pretty much uneventful. We had a great time on our cruise and spent the weekend in Fort Lauderdale after the cruise ended. Now to the real reason I am posting this…………
Our flight back home we had a layover. I can’t remember what airport, I would have to look at the tickets stubs to know for sure.
So here we are waiting to board our flight and all the guys in the boarding area start going crazy, including my husband. I couldn’t figure out what the heck was going one, I was looking for a famous star. So my husband keeps hitting and saying “Honey, Honey, get your camera, take a picture!”
I turn to look, because I don’t know what the big deal is, I don’t see anyone famous in the boarding area… But all the men do..
He finally tells me who it is, it’s Chris "Boomer"Berman and of course I still don’t know who that is. He tells me it is a sportscaster for ESPN, NFL..bla bla. “Oh ok” I thought. My husband goes up to Chris Berman, shakes his hand, chats a bit, I take a picture and we now have to board the plane to come back to Connecticut.
So we get on the plane first. Chris Berman is behind us. We take our seats in the row on the right side of the plane (facing forward). Chris Berman sits down in Coach (we were a little shocked, thought he would have flown First Class) one row in front of us but on the left side of the plane and sat in the seat next to the aisle. The center seat was empty and there was a gentleman sitting in the seat next to the window. (Poor guy, you’ll know why in a minute)
Now I get to the Pet Peeve Laurie Anne mentioned…..
So I was looking out the window and I feel a kick from my husband. We must have been in the air for about 10 minutes.
He says” Honey, look at Chris.” So I look and don’t see anything, I shrugged my shoulders, turned away and my husband says “NO, watch!” So here I am staring at this guy, feeling a little weird about it and it happens. This guy, Chris Berman takes his finger and shoves it as far up his nose as he can get it!! (LOL, I am laughing and typing this at the sametime) WTF..I think, maybe the booger is really bothering him. The only problem was, THE MAN DIDN’T STOP THERE. He picked his nose none stop and in-between picks you would think he would have wiped them on a tissue, his shirt, hell, the back of the seat in front of him! But no, this man proceeded to pop each booger in his..umm..yup you got it…MOUTH. These weren’t average sized boogers either, my husband to this day refers to them as Earthworms!! Same color, shape everything. HOW GROSS!!
I was dumbfounded and if I was in my right mind I would have recorded it with my video camera option on my Digital Camera. But because I wanted to follow the rules and not use certain electronic devices during the flight all I have are the painful, yet amusing memories in my brain.
So after about 45 minutes of it, I said to my husband “Bet you wished you never shook his hand!”
LMAO…Chris Berman you’re a nasty man!!!

Pet Peeves
Do you have any??
I have a few of those oh, so annoying things that people do that really bug the crap out of me..or better known as Pet Peeves!
Pet Peeve #1: The biggest one of all is... Tickling..can't stand it when someone tickles me. I don't quite understand where someone got the idea that when somebody laughs while being tickled means that the recipient of the tickling like it. Yes, laughter = happiness BUT not in this case. Just because I laugh does not mean I like it!
Do you have any Pet Peeves?? Please share!

Worlds Largest Penis
I am sorry but I had to post this. I came across this at WCCC.com Sebastian In The Morning show.
An amusement park in China claims they have erected (LOL, no pun intended!!)the worlds largest penis! Read the full story here.
Sopranos Series Finale
So…where do I start?? (Sorry Paisley)Well, I watched the Sopranos last night along with millions of other people. What did you think of the ending?
My opinion……………..IT SUCKED..I don’t care if they are setting up for a movie or not. I have had an eight year love affair with this show and I feel like I was cheated. I know, I’m nuts but that is how I feel.
It was great seeing Phil get whacked in front of his wife, but running his head over with the SUV..a bit much for me, I felt bad for the babies.. But never the less he is finally gone.
As for what you thought was going to happen to Tony, Carmela, Anthony and Meadow, the build up was great, I do have to say that much. Having everyone show up separately left you hanging on the edge of your seat wonder what Soprano family member was going to be knocked off. But nothing ever happened. Meadow and her parking issues, that just added fuel to the fire. Made you wonder if it was to be her or was she going to witness her father, mother and brother getting whacked as she walked in the restaurant. But in the end ……ya got nuttin…just a black screen. The End..
I can not believe David Chase would end the show on that not. No gunshot, no scream, nothing …just a black screen. Thanks Mr. Chase, you ended the best series not with a bang, more like a fart! You heard heard, smelt it but then it was gone and there was nothing more left of it.
To add something more to this..I was listening to WCCC on my ay to work. One of the radio DJ’s received an email from a listener in Australia who claimed that the ending they viewed was different from the ending played here in the U.S. We know a few ending were made to help keep the secret of the real ending nut I am a bit curious about this. I am sure if it was true, there would have been something mentioned somewhere on the World Wide Web. If you know anything or knows someone who knows someone..send them my way!! Thanks
Leaving A Child In The Car
My son and I went to the grocery store the last night to pick up a few things for dinner. It was a fairly quick trip, in and out, considering that it was in the early evening, Thank Goodness!!
On the way out of the store there was a woman, who looked to be in her mid 40's walking in front of us. Nothing unusual about her, I would have never even of noticed anything was off. Well, my son noticed right away, something wasn't right.
Amazingly "Z" was quiet this time. He grabs my arm as we are walking past the car that the woman stopped at and he says "Mom, there was a little kid in that car!" I looked at him and said "What, are you sure, where?" He repeats himself, very sure about what he has just seen and points at the car. So I turn around to take a look and he was right, there was someone in the car and you could barely see the top of the kids head. Then it dawns on me that this is the same lady who was in front of us in the store and in the parking lot, mind you, with no child and now was talking to some one in the car with the same tone you would use with a child So now I am dumbfounded. I start scanning the area looking for another adult and I don't see one. I am starting to get a little infuriated. I wish I noticed it on the way in the store.
I know it is on the news all the time and you usually hear about it because it is so freakin hot out, the windows are up and the child is practically dead. I never thought I would actually see it myself. Why, why, why would you do that! "Z" is 12 years old and I am uncomfortable about leaving him in the car even at his age nevermind leaving a small child in the car and go in the store for a few things.
The Sopranos...The End Is Here
Tonight is the last episode of the Sopranos and I am not happy!! My long love affair with the show is coming to an end. I can tell you that I am sure it will be a great one. After most of the season has been a bit boring and some of these last episodes have you yearning for more, this last show will be the best by far.
In episode 83..Tony kills Christopher. Kills his own nephew, I could not believe it! I can understand why, I mean the kid has had issues. He has had a hard time staying off the dope, even with a baby and a new wife.
Then there is last weeks show, Episode 85. I have never felt sadder..no I was horrified.. watching some one die. New York hit men killed Bobby and attempted to kill Silvio. Sil is an ok guy, but Bobby, the whole time I have been watching this show I can only recall him killing someone once and that was this season. I could be wrong, but even still he was likable. He always came off like a big dopey teddy bear. He was kinda “just there”. I mean the guy like to play with train sets. So watching him be taken down at the store while buying a toy train set was completely unexpected. I never would have thought he would have been first to go. New York referred to him as Number 3, when in fact I would have thought Paulie was Number 3, not Bobby.
I have not predictions as to what will happen tonight. Everything that has happened thus far has been a complete shock. Till tonight…………Have a great one.

Back To Jail
Paris Hilton is in her way back to jail!! I am kind of shocked. I thought for sure there was hoing to be some celebrity favortism here. Looks like the only favortism she received was from the sheriff's who let her out. I didn't voice my opinion on this when she was let out, but all I could think was "What makes this girl any better than the rest of us??" I hate to see anyone have to go to jail, but she did break her parole she deserves to serve the punishment that was to be handed down to her. Now it looks like it is going to be 45 days instead of 23 days. Sorry Miss Paris Hilton…no sympathy from me…

Ever Tried To Win A Prize?
I am sure that alot of people have, me included! Well there is a website that is a lot of fun and it is called whogets.com . This is the way it works, you register and you look through the items they have and decide which one you would like the chance to win. After you decide what item or items you would like to try to win you join the contest and write a brief statement on why YOU should be the one who gets the prize.
There contest will stay open for a specific amount of days and the finalists are randomly chosen. If you are one of the “chosen ones” other members will vote for who they want to win. Voting will last for another set number of days and at the end of it all, well, the person with the most votes wins! How cool does that sound?
In addition to entering contests at whogets.com you can also vote for people you think should win a prize. All votes are cast by the members.
I am a member of whogets.com so I am pretty familiar with the way it works. I have not won anything yet, but there is a contest that I am in now that will be closing shortly! I have had a lot of fun on this website. So why not check it out and while you are there….. look for me!

Things Kids Say!
So my son and I went to the grocery store for a few things the other night and some how we ended up in the so dangerous Bakery section. Thank goodness I have some will power!! My son, well he has his fathers appetite and the metabolism to go along with it. Z's weakness is glazed donuts!!..Loves them.. As he was looking around I decided that I had to leave the Bakery before all will power was lost. I was in the Frozen Food section and I hear my son call me. Low and behold he found the day old bakery items and was completely aww struck....Glazed Donuts heaven...
So of course I am inspecting the packaging and the over all look of the food. (I have a great paranoia about opened packages and food that just doesn't "look right") He puts a package of donuts in the cart and I notice that they have bagels. Well I grab the package and the next thing that comes screaming out of his mouth (I mean screaming) is "YOU CAN'T HAVE THOSE!! YOUR GONNA GET HIGH!!" As he throws the package of Poppy Seed Bagels back on the rack. So now I am embarrassed, it's 5:30 in the afternoon, busy time of day at the grocery store. I can feel the eyes staring at us...and I ask "Where did you learn that and no, I won't get high!"
He says "MythBusters, you know that show on the Discovery Channel." Enough said. So I tried to explain that you would not get high. He didn't want to hear it. So even though I had no intentions of getting them, he made it very clear in a Z kind of fashion that he did not like them!!
Sometimes Missing Kids Are Found!
What a great ending to such a traumatic experience for the family but most of all a girl who has been missing for a year! I was looking through the new stories at msnbc.com and they had story from my state about a 15 year old girl found who had been missing for a year. They found her locked in a hidden room under some stairs. This not only was in my state, hell, she was found in the town I happen to live in!!
Well thank god she was found, gives us as a nation hope that some missing kids are still alive. Those children who have not returned hopefully will be found and my thoughts are with them and their families.

Gas Petition
So with the rising gas prices our Governor Jodi Rell has finally decided enough is enough. I happen to agree with her. She is calling for the the Democratic leadership in the state legislature to join Republicans in suspending the state’s 25-cent gasoline tax from Memorial Day through Labor Day. In addition she has posted a petition for the residents of Connecticut to join in on. If you are a resident of Connecticut please click the link and add your name to the thousands of others who would like to feel some relief at the pump.

Part 2...Of Things Got Heated
So I know I left things hanging, I had to go for a walk!! Been slacking on the exercise....Anywho...
Yup, his piece offering was a Dunkin Donuts Ice Coffee...Yuuummmyy!!!! First time in a while he thought about me..What I mean is, he always thinks about me but never when it comes to the little things..Simple things make me happy..I never asked for the world..just a little bit of thought.
Back to where I was going, once I had that ice coffee I pretty much knew that he was comin around. We had a pretty good rest of the day. Watched the Yankees...GO YANKEES..get spanked by the Red Sox and just hung out. Later that night he apologized for the things he said and admitted that he was being a jerk because I had put him in his place and it shocked him....GOOD!!!!!! We went to bed LATE!!! So things were ok this morning. It not like it has been swept under the rug, but I think he knows where I am coming from now...We'll see...keep ya all posted...
Things Got Heated Yesterday
Well, let me tell you, the weather wasn't the only thing that was hot yesterday. My husband tried to get..um..well, I can't think of a word..(it's early and I am just having my first cup of coffee!)
So I worked yesterday morning on 3 hrs of sleep..I get home from work and my husband gives me the ice face. He tells me he is leaving and that it is very obvoius that I don't love him bla, bla. We have been having problems for a while now and I have contenplated leaving. Even made up my mind not to long ago to leave. I love my husband alot and don't really want to go, but I want him to go get help for the drinking and thus far he hasn't. I never really came out and said it until yesterday.
So he is telling me he didn't sign up to be my roommate, through a few insults at me and then sat on the couch pouting like a kid! I returned the comments with a "Well, I didn't sign up for having a drunk for a husband. Remeber the time you got trashed 2 1/2 years ago and cried to your sister aout how I was goin to leave you? That was before we got married! Now you could give a fuck less!"
That pretty much shut him up and I also told him that if he wants to leave then that is a choice he was making. If he didn't want to work on it then he knew where the door was. Well, he came back with " You left along time ago!" I have to agree with him there..it happened when he got trashed and destroyed my couch!
Much more was said, I won't bore you with the details though.
So I left and took my son for a long over due hair cut, came back and he was till pouting on the couch. He got a call to pick up his daughter, left, came back, left again and came back with a peace offering. Your probably wondering what it was...Dunkin Donuts Ice Coffee!
I Ended Up Having A 1/2 A Day At Work
So you'd think that was a good thing. Anytime someone gets to escape from their job early is a got thing. NOT in my case. My son assisted in my early departure.
I have a 12 year old boy..his name is Zach and I love him to death. He has a few problems, emotional, ADD, tourettes, learning disabilities and such..but he's my life and there isn't anything I wouldn't do for him. So, he had another rough day in school. Usually they can talk to him and help him process what he is feeling. Not so today! He was misbehaving and refused to go to the office. SO they called the security guard to come escort him and he still refused. Finally he went after they threatened to call the cops on him. So on the way to the office he punched a metal box on the wall. So obviously he is grounded, it is going to be a loooong weekend for him.
Late Night Calls...I Can't Stand Them
Sometime ago I went through Dish Pronto about satellite TV. Well, they have been calling me ever since. So last night, I was sleeping and the phone is ringing. I tried to ignore but you know how that goes. You start thinking, what if it an emergency, did something happen to one of my parents and so on. So back to my story..I get up, ½ asleep, stepped on my cat and stumbled to the phone. I answer it, and I hear this voice say “ Can I speak to the lady of the house?” I ask “ Who is it?” and again he asks the same question. So finally I say “This is.” So he continues to tell me he is from Dish Pronto and bla, bla, bla.
Now remember, I still have not completely woken up yet. So I wasn’t sure what time it was and out of pure curiosity I asked him if he knew what time it was.
“Just before 10 ma’am”, now I am fully away, I turn and look at the cable box and it says 10:04 p.m. I responded with, “Let’s try that again, it is after 10 pm. Why are you calling my house so late?” So I start this major rant session and tell him how rude he was and how would he like it if I called his house while he was sleeping..bla, bla, bla. He apologizes…”Ok fine thank you, good night” I say and the whole kicker is…Even as I was hanging up the phone on him he was screaming, Ma’am, please ma’am, just give me a few more minutes.” All I can say for him is ……………….What a dumb ass!!!
