"Z's" Big Night!

I am soooo tired today. I am at work in body, but not in mind.

Last night was a late one…On 6th cup of coffee.

On Friday when I brought “Z” to the orthodontist I entered his name in a raffle to be a guest Bat Boy at a RockCats game. Well, I never expected to get the call that he was one of 4 kids that were picked to do it. How exciting is that ?? Especially if you are a 12 year old boy. What a once in a lifetime chance!

(The RockCats are an AA affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. You can read the history of the franchise here. Some pretty big name came through that stadium.)

Anywho, “Z” handled himself pretty good, stuck it out through all 13, yes count them, 13 innings! We got home around midnight, washed up and went to bed….YEAH!!

He ended up with a couple of memorabilia items…He has a baseball and a broken bat. That broken bat will be his pride and joy for the rest of his life. So all in all, he had fun, got to do something that he may not of otherwise had the chance to do..

Wonderful that they picked his name, even more wonderful that he'll have a few tokens to help him remember such a great night at such a great age..
