I am sooo tired this morning, I just want to go back to bed. I have been waking up at about 4 am the past few days and quite frankly, it's for the birds!
I hope everyone had a happy and safe Halloween. Z went out with his friends and I stayed home and handed out candy. There was a lot of kids this year, young and old. I think we had about 20 adults show up here who got dressed up and went out. I was a little surprised because people think of Halloween being a kids holiday. It didn't bother me a bit, but I am sure some people didn't like it at all.
So I am a curious, what are you thoughts about adults going out trick or treating? Does it bother you when you have an adult at your door with a costume on and asking for candy? How do you handle it?

We actually get no trick or treaters at all here where we live. It's nice and quiet. We live in a tiny little town, so most people take their kids to the safe trick or treat in the park or town square. Also, our neighborhood is fairly dark, so it's not a good environment for the holiday festivities.
I have no problem with adult trick or treaters, but people do seem to have a notion that Halloween is a strictly kids holiday. Most of the adults I know go to Halloween parties, rather than trick or treats. They dress up, get together, and drink too much. It's all in good fun and a good way to celebrate the holiday like an adult. I don't generally attend these parties, I'm not much of a partier myself.
I get fewer and fewer trick or treaters each year. But then again I work and am not home when they get out of school. I LOVED Halloween but the thing that irks me is that these kids (or their parents) are so unimaginative and some of these kids act like they don't want to go trick or treating--like it's a chore.
I will admit if I saw an adult or two trick or treating, I think it would kind of irritate me. Halloween isn't just for kids, but adults should limit themselves to costume parties, bars and other places filled with heavy alcohol and loose inhibitions.
