Those are just a few of the warning signs.
If someone you know or even yourself is experiencing any of those signs, you may want to go for an Alzheimer’s screening. There are several locations in each state across the country to go and have it done. Please go or encourage your loved one to go and get this very important, possible memory saving, screening.
Memory loss can be brought on by other things as well, such as vitamin deficiencies, depression or thyroid problems. Memory losses associated with these are reversible, which is why this screening is important. Here are a few tips for “successful aging” to consider as you get older. Your memory is the most important thing there are too many precious memories in your brain; don’t you want to keep them?
Visit your doctor
Participate in activities that stimulate your brain
Manage stress and treat depression
Exercise daily, Follow a healthy diet and take vitamins, including vitamins C and E, and folic acid.
Discuss these with your friends or family. Help people understand there are ways to help fight off the start of Alzheimer’s. It is never too early.
We would all love to have a cure for Alzheimer’s but at this time, there is none but we can now slow the progression of Alzheimer’s with medications. The most important thing at this time is quality of care. Making sure, they get the medications they need or to the doctor they must see. We can not leave the suffers or potential suffers of Alzheimer’s without resources and assistance.
Make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or as a holiday gift, make a donation in someone else’s name. This donation will go towards programs and services like the National Memory Screening Day. There is nothing more important!
