A couple of more to go! I can't wait for this season to be over. This year we spend it with my husbands side of the family...not what I look forward to doing. Maybe this year Zac and I will go volunteer on Christmas Day that way I don't have to put my fake smile on for the ever so annoying and meddling mother in law. I know my husband hates the fact that I can't stand his mom and I try soo hard to put on the happy face. My face is very telling so I know I am not hiding my displeasure very well. How can I make it a more pleasant experience??..I know drink, drink and drink so more. Usually I am quite tipsy when I leave there and quite honestly, the more I drink the happier I get. I actually place bets with my self on which child will be told they can't have desert until after they eat, yet they get it before, just quietly and secretly! Psycho beotch! Now I know why my husbands step father gets plastered every night.....he married into a family of freaks. Your kid, my kid and so on.
So I am wondering....am I the only person on the face of the earth that hates going to the signifcant others family house, whether for holidays or plain old get together? Please do share with me and tell me how you get through it all? I really need some tips, I can't spend another Christmas 2 sheets to the wind!

I LUV Online Shopping
As many of you know, well the ones who have been a reader for quite sometime, I have a soon to be 14 year old son. He is quite the handful at times and there are times I would love to, well, we'll skip that, he is still very special to me and I DO love him dearly. The question is ...what do I get him for Christmas this year? Who knows, they tell you a million things and you hope you pick the right one. This year, there is a Wii on the list and other things that will break the bank! So I figured that he would get the one thing he wants and I will choose some of the other gifts.
My son loves magnets, especially the sets that you can build things with. As part of my plan to not step foot in a store this year, I found an online store that has TONS of the Magnet building sets. The store is called MEGABrand and they offer enough stuff to stimulate a child's mind. The have everything from mickey mouse cars to the magnet building sets, well here they are called MagNext. They have a great selection to choose from. So if you are looking for something other than brain numbing video games, check them out..
I am placing my order now for this..............
And yes at ALMOST 14 years old he still like to play with this stuff....
There is nothing like online shopping...cup of coffee, quiet, no crowns or traffic...If you feel the same way I do, stop by and check them out...
Strange and Creepy
So I called my mom yesterday and we had a nice conversation as always. This time the conversation started off a little weird..
Ring, Ring
Mom "Hello."
Me"Hi..whatcha doin?"
Mom " Hi, oh I just got done signing up for prepayment on cremation for myself and your dad."
Me "Oh come on..not really what I wanted to hear right now!!"
Ok, I know death is inevitable and we will all die sooner or later..hopefully later but you never know. I certainly did not want to hear my mom say that considering in the health state she is in. She could have at least waited a few minutes before she dropped that bomb. I know they don't want me to have to worry about anything when their time on earth is up, they always plan ahead! So with that said....carry on.
SpaLook.com coupon -U Like Coupons??
Holidays are here and I am not quite ready for them, seeing as there is a mandatory furlough at work for the last week of December. With this in mind I am defiantly proud to say that I am a pretty conscious shopper, not cheap but conscious. I am not afraid to look for sales or deals and for sure, I am not afraid to use coupons, coupon codes or anything else that may help me save a few bucks. Usually that is all it amounts to, is a just few dollars, but I certainly won’t complain. Now with Christmas right around the corner and recent developments at work I will watch what I spend and how much more closely. I have always been the parent that TRIES to get one really expensive gift, the one the kids really want; you know the one “Mom I can’t live with out it” gift and a few smaller ones. This year though might be a little different. We still need to live and have the necessities in life. As always I will try my best, but really now, Christmas is about much more than gifts. Maybe it is time to get back to the real meaning of Christmas for all families, rich, poor or middle class.
If you aren’t feeling what I have to say that is okay too as it is not for me to judge. But if you want to save a few dollars defiantly think about using coupons, coupon codes or anything similar. Check out SpaLook.com coupon , got all that, no? the just click the link. You never know how much money you could save. Besides, coupons, promo codes or what ever type of savings you have, are great anytime of the year.
It Has Been Handed Down
Today we were informed that we would be on MANDATORY furlough the week of December 29th..ugg. That means we cannot use vacation time to cover for 3 days we will NOT be getting paid for! How nice, the say that they will be saving about $125,000 that week. Okay, so if that saves us from economic crisis that that's great. What shall I do for bill and food for one week? Bills will be covered, what about food or vice versa....As a parent what do you do? I could say that it is time to move, I always wanted to live somewhere warm, maybe there are jobs in Dallas. Wake up dummy, if it is like this here who is to say there are jobs ANYWHERE else? I do wonder though, one week off, 2 days paid, does that affect EVERYONE at my job?? Will senior management be subjected to the same rules? I guess we will never know will we.
