What Holidays Do You Celebrate?

No to long ago (LOL..4th of July was just this week) I mentioned in a post that I hoped everyone had a happy and safe 4th of July. I received a comment that got me thinking.

Ross Hetherington commented on that post after I Left one about his cute chickens. He said “4th July means nothing really to me. Living in the UK but I hope you had a good day.” Thanks Ross, I most certainly did!!

So now I am curious, What holidays do you celebrate in your country that we don’t here in the United States? Tell me about a little about them and what they mean to you. If you live in the United States that is ok too. We have many different cultures here and each one has it's own unique celebrations.
