I Am Fuming..

Ok, so as many people know I have been laid off from my job. This morning I was on the Capitol Workforce Partners website. On this site I notice that they have a Summer Youth and Learning Program. Peeked my interest, Zac really wants a job and this looks like something that he could do over the summer, get some training..right.

They have requirements

• must be 14..check
• must have a birth certificate...check
• must have social security card...check
• must have citizenship...ie..birth certificate....check
• any special circumstances...nope
• do you receive free lunch at school...nope
• are you on welfare...nope

What was I told?...If you do not receive welfare, food stamps or free lunch then you might not want to show up to apply.

What kind of crap is that?? Because I don't suck the State of Connecticut dry my child does not have the opportunity to learn or get a summer job. That is crappy as far as I am concerned. Why does a child that lives in a home with one working parent and a parent on unemployment not get the same services as a child who's parent is milking the system for money or sitting on their asses selling drugs and shooting each other. Making a menace out of themselves, bringing down communities and cities. I have a child who wants to work and who wants to become something, yet my less than middle class income prohibits that!! How is that fair? Honestly, it makes me nauseous..I wonder what the statistics are, how many kids who were eligible for this service, thanks to their parents, have actually taken the skills they have learned and become something as adults.

So I was surfing the net and read that Wonder Women, btw..I LUVED Wonder Women when I was little, found a body floating in a river and made sure that someone came to fish, no pun intended, the body out of the river. Now that is the way people should be!

Good for you Linda Carter, if it were here in the great state of Connecticut, or in the city of Hartford they would have left the body for the fishes. Acted like they didn't see anything or maybe even would have gawked but they certainly wouldn't help. They could even try to find out who did your life insurance quote to try and get your money! The resident of the city of Hartford could learn a few things from her.

So I hop on the Internet this morning to read a headline that says 'Like a Dog
They Left Him'. I saw it yesterday but was very busy and had not time to read it.

I live in the state of Connecticut, so this really hits home. This happened in Hartford, I live in West Hartford! Apparently a 78 year old man was hit by a car, the car took off and nobody helped him. NOT ONE OF THOSE FUCKIN LOSERS HELPED HIM. What the hell is wrong with people?? In a way it doesn't surprise me, Hartford is full of useless thugs, drug dealer, murderers and who know what else. I wish I could turn the news on and NOT hear something about Hartford.

You assholes walked up to him, drove by him, some of you even drove up to him, stopped and took off!! Not one of you has the common courtesy to help. Shame on you, shame on your parents. We are a nation of greedy, heartless, cruel and mean individuals.

Hey asshole you don't feel comfortable??? How would you feel if your grandfather was hit by a car and left to die? Let me guess, you wouldn't be to happy now would you?? Stupid ass..imagine how scared he was, no one to comfort him, no one to tell him it would be okay, nothing. Just a bunch of selfish fucks standing there watching!

Several cars pass Torres as a few people stare from the sidewalk. Some approach Torres, but most stay put until a police cruiser responding to an unrelated call arrives on the scene after about a minute and a half.

A police cruiser on an UNRELATED call stops...did anyone even call the cops?? Who knows..probably not.

To all you assholes in the video..it's called Karma. What goes around......comes around and God will get you for what you have done.

I am ashamed, I am embarrassed to admit that I live in the state of Connecticut, I am ashamed of the people who stood there and watched. I feel sick to my stomach..people like this should be charged with something and I hope the one who hit him is found soon.

You are sad, despicable people......... in a way I am not sure why it surprises me. With all the heartless crime in Hartford, this is just another day in the hood. click here

Our First Winter Storm

So the snow came and went....for now! They named it Storm Alexander...BUT we are expecting another storm this weekend. The weatherman (the only person I know of who keeps his job even if he is wrong) said we are expected to get 5 to 8 inches and I think some parts of Connecticut got up to 14 inches. Getting home last night was a nightmare. Thank goodness we have 4 wheel drive...I picked my husband up from work and let him drive home. From my job to his it normally takes me 15 minutes, last night it took me 45 minutes...



I have been carrying around my camera wherever I go, here are a couple of pics...

How Would You Feel?

I live in Connecticut and there is some drama occurring. There is a serial rapist being released from prison, quite possibly as I write about this, if not already. The man’s name is David Pollitt and he has spent the last 24 years of his life in prison for raping several strangers in the 70’s and early 80’s. Apparently he is going to move in with his sister, who notified her Southbury neighbors via the mail, that he would be moving in with her. Pretty Scary!!!

I would be terrified. Granted he has done his time and even got 4 years knocked off for good behavior. But I would defiantly not like it. I personally thing the act of rape is a serious mental illness. How do you judge whether or not this person has been rehabilitated? You don’t really know!! All you can do is wait and see, see if something happens.

So the people in his sister’s neighborhood have suggested that the state of Connecticut pay for an apartment for him. Good idea?! Well for the people of Southbury it is but what about the other neighborhood he moves into? There will be the same reaction, no matter where he moves. So what do you do with a person who has committed such a heinous crime? I know what I would do!!!


My question is “How would you feel if he was moving into your neighborhood and where would you suggest he go?”
