Holidays are here and I am not quite ready for them, seeing as there is a mandatory furlough at work for the last week of December. With this in mind I am defiantly proud to say that I am a pretty conscious shopper, not cheap but conscious. I am not afraid to look for sales or deals and for sure, I am not afraid to use coupons, coupon codes or anything else that may help me save a few bucks. Usually that is all it amounts to, is a just few dollars, but I certainly won’t complain. Now with Christmas right around the corner and recent developments at work I will watch what I spend and how much more closely. I have always been the parent that TRIES to get one really expensive gift, the one the kids really want; you know the one “Mom I can’t live with out it” gift and a few smaller ones. This year though might be a little different. We still need to live and have the necessities in life. As always I will try my best, but really now, Christmas is about much more than gifts. Maybe it is time to get back to the real meaning of Christmas for all families, rich, poor or middle class.
