My Mom is having surgery tomorrow..oh wait, they canceled it! My poor mom has been living with non stop headaches for years. They have never gotten any better, just worse. A couple of years ago she also had neck surgery and that was a big mess. So anywho, she was supposed to have something like electrodes implanted in her head and a little battery -like- implanted in her butt cheek. She did the trial one and it worked wonderfully. I was like seeing a new person. She was happy and laughing and now she is miserable again. (I am to pissed off to remember the correct terms for everything.) They canceled it because she is too skinny..they think she has Celiac disease as well ....she weighs 104 lbs. The doctors say she is healthy for the most parts but the surgeon is concerned that her body will reject the thing the are putting in her butt cheek.
To make matters worse, when and if she can gain enough weight to have the surgery done, the hospital she was supposed to have it done at is not going to be doing that surgery there anymore!! I feel so bad for her, why can't someone just give her a break. Her doctor promised her they would find another hospital that would perform the surgery.
So now she is 250 miles away from where I live and there is nothing I can do to help her. She has my dad thank god! Speaking of God, if you are listening..makes me really wonder how the only person I have known in my entire 32 years who never judged anyone, good, bad or indifferent can be let to suffer this way. She never has a bad thing to say about anyone and I think she has suffered enough. Can't she catch a break?? Just for once...never cheated, stole, passed judgement and the million in one other thing we as people are NOT supposed to do, but yet she is allowed to suffer one way or another.
Well, speaking for my own mother - she went into hospital for treatment for migraines and died that night - before any operation or even a test.
ReplyDeleteShe was oversedated - 'accidentally' killed.
Perhaps you're unaware of the fact that DOCTORS ARE THE MAIN CAUSE OF DEATH in the US and other western nations now - deaths due to bad medical treatment and incompetence have nudged past even deaths from cancer and heart disease!
If you don't believe me do the research yourself - AND STAY OUT OF HOSPITALS and AWAY FROM DOCTORS at all costs.

That's terrible!! I hope it gets straightened out for her. I understand how you feel, feeling helpless to help her. My mom is 1500 miles away and has suffered from a neuromuscular disorder since 1997! She gets a treatment every three months that is really painful and I'm not there to help her. :( Also, she needs to have surgery for her gallbladder, she's diabetic, has to have some infected teeth pulled first, and the stuff to numb her for her teeth, is making her disorder act up! So, she has to wait for it to settle down before she can have surgery for her gallbladder which is like six months over due already. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteSo yes, I totally sympathize with what you're going through!
Hey Diamond, hope your mom get it all sorted out soon and is on the road to good health.
ReplyDeleteI've seen lying weasels who live it up and loads of good people who suffer and I've often wondered the same questions that you do. Life is just strange at times!
Happy Easter Diamond.
Prince - I am so sorry to hear that! I would be devastated if that were to happen to my mom. Thanks for the link, I will chck it out.
ReplyDeleteKristyn - So sorry about your mom. Isn't amazing that to get one problem taken care it can cause another to go haywire. I have an aunt that is diabetic as well, she has a very bad heart and has been sick for months. She needed a pacemaker but they can't get her sugar levels under control long enough to do the operation. When the sugar is finally under control, she comes down with another cold! Hugs for you and your mom.
ReplyDeleteHi Nick - thanks for the well wishes for my mom! Life is definalty strange. Happy Easter to you and your family as well. I hope the Easter Bunny brings lots of yummy treats to your boys.
