Waste Of Money

Yesterday I walked into the lunchroom at work only to see the the VP of IT, the maintenance manager and the busy body safety guy in there mounting what looked like a tv to the wall. At first I thought what are they using a plasma tv mount and then I quickly realized it was being hooked up to the kiosk, oh and it wasn't a plasma tv, it is hi-def. So now we can look at the bull crap Daily News on a 52 inch, flat screen, hi def tv! Sounds like a load of crap to me, I get the Daily News on my computer.

Ok, so we have the best year ever at my job and we waste it on stupid crap like a hi-def tv. They promote people who are already high on the food chain to even higher titles because they want more money and us bottom feeders, what do we get? The same 3.5% raise, if we are lucky and no recognition for what WE have accomplished! I guess it is really all about who's ass you have your head up! Quite honestly, I think it is bullshit!

It's Over

The long weekend is over and it is now time to get back to work. I must say that I am happy that it is finally over, but I am not happy that I have to return to that miserable job of mine. I wish I could just stay home and stay home alone.

Yesterday my husband pulled a doozy. It just seems like when everything is fine for a while he needs to cause drama and stir the pot. I have often suggested that he reconsider this conscious or unconscious desicion that he makes. All I can ever conclude is that this is the way his mother behaved and now he chooses to play the same games. Games I am tired of playing, games my parents never played, games that will find him packing his crap and his, as he states it "perfect, complaint little angel's" crap and moving out. My family was far from disfunctional, but boy his family, that's a whole nother story!

Yesterdays game, well it involved my son and the washing machine. Zachary does his own laundry, as he should at 13, so at about 4:00 pm my husband asks Zachary if he was done with his wash cause he needed to was his work jacket and he didn't want to be doing it at 7:30 at night. So I looked at him and before I could say anything he freaks out and says "I know, keep my mouth shut! Who am I to say anything." He continues to spit and sputter and carry on like an over grown child. So as he continues to talk shit form the other room, my blood pressure starts to rise and it makes me want to review his burial policy cause now I am ready to ring his neck.

I just viewed it as odd because #1: he never washes his jacket, I do and #2: There was now more laundry to do! So that immediately makes me think he is picking a fight! I was right cause he never washed his damn jacket and Zachary's wash was done at 4:30 pm....bastard.

What Would Your Oyster Give?

If I had my choice of and oyster gift, I would get rid if the pearl and put gas in there! The catch, only I would get the gas. I am not to sure that would work well though. With gas prices at $3.30 a gallon I may not be able to afford the oysters! LOL..I know very far fetched! But imagine if an oyster gave you something other than a pearl, what would it be? Happiness in a shell, fame, fortune, something to make life easier or more fun. Maybe you like the oyster just the way it is, that is okay too.



Oysters in reality, what can I say about them? Well, they give us beautiful pearls and food. I am okay with the pearls and personally don't get into eating the rest of what is inside! If you enjoy eating Gulf oysters you will want to check this site out. Oysters are a great source of nutrition, but there are always risks with eating raw seafood. Is It Me?

I am stumped, is Easter a little early this year? So confused, I always thought Easter was in April. I never remember Saint Patrick's Day and Easter being in the same month. Last week Zachary and I were talking about Easter. I asked him if he was excited for the Easter Bunny LOL..I know, he is 13, but the Bunny still drops something off! Anyways, he looked at me like I was nuts and said "Easter is in April mom!" I said "No, it is next Sunday!" So now he is confused too, lol, glad it is not just me.

What's going on, who is messing with us? Is it George W., he already changed the time change dates, does he have the power to change when a holiday falls to?? I am lost and confused, I must have missed the memo!

Getting Married At The Beach?

If I were to do my wedding all over again I would defiantly do it at the beach. The beach is such a beautiful and serene place to be, that is, when there aren't a million people around!

With every wedding there is usually a theme, if you are going to get married on a sandy beach then your invitation may want to reflect that. This was one of my favorite invitations offered by 1st Class Wedding Invitations, very simple and elegant. Seahorses are amazing creatures and mate for life. When you get married, essentially that is what you are doing.

This invitation is beautiful the way it is but I would also want to make it my own. I would defiantly change the font and font color. I would also choose a verse that more suites me and my family. As I did with my wedding, I would let my parent's choose the verse for the front of the invitation. The great thing about this site is the fact that you can make your changes and actually see them on the screen, it is called virtual proofing. There is now guessing or hoping that your Beach Wedding Invitations are going to look as you want them. Nothing is worse than ordering your invitations, to get them and not like them. Planning a wedding is no easy task, with virtual proofing you will take the worry out of what your invitations are going to look like.

Not everyone likes seahorses; it is all matter of personal opinion. They do offer a great selection of other beach themed invitations for you to choose from. Take your time and choose what best suites you and your wedding.

Going To A Movie

So I decided that I would take Zachary to a movie today. Being that it is Good Friday, I don't have to work and he doesn't have school, it seems like a really great day to go see one. Now, we have to agree on a movie. That should be the interesting part! He loves outrageous and corny movies and I like comedy too but some just look plain stupid. We'll see, we may have to agree to disagree! But right now, I am going to enjoy the peace and quiet! Just me, my coffee and the computer, along with the occasional visit from the cat!

Sleepy!

I so badly need a new mattress, OK maybe not that bad! I would link a new mattress. I would like to try something new. There are so many options to choose from these days that I wouldn't even know which one to choose. I have slept on a memory foam mattress and it was the best nights sleep of my life! I don't know, I am so confused. This really isn't the time to be thinking about shopping!

So what are you guys doing for Easter? Anything special? I think we are just going to stay home and make a "special dinner" (as my husband calls them).

What If?

I often wonder where my family would be if something were to happen to me. Where would my son go, hopefully with my parents, as his father isn't who I want to finish raising him and my husband, well he is perfectly capable but would I want him to? Then there is the financial aspect of it all, kids aren't cheap and my parents aren't poor, but right now they are struggling for the first time in 20 years. My mom is only working part time and the area they live in is not exactly the money pit of America.

So as an adult I need to make some decisions just in case something bad happens. I think it is defiantly time to look into getting life insurance. What my job provides certainly is not enough to do anything with, unless of course you toss me in the woods somewhere! I need to make sure that my son can go to college and there will be some sort of financial assistance for the lucky person who gets to raise him. I don't foresee anything bad happening, but you never really know.

Life Sucks!!

My Mom is having surgery tomorrow..oh wait, they canceled it! My poor mom has been living with non stop headaches for years. They have never gotten any better, just worse. A couple of years ago she also had neck surgery and that was a big mess. So anywho, she was supposed to have something like electrodes implanted in her head and a little battery -like- implanted in her butt cheek. She did the trial one and it worked wonderfully. I was like seeing a new person. She was happy and laughing and now she is miserable again. (I am to pissed off to remember the correct terms for everything.) They canceled it because she is too skinny..they think she has Celiac disease as well ....she weighs 104 lbs. The doctors say she is healthy for the most parts but the surgeon is concerned that her body will reject the thing the are putting in her butt cheek.

To make matters worse, when and if she can gain enough weight to have the surgery done, the hospital she was supposed to have it done at is not going to be doing that surgery there anymore!! I feel so bad for her, why can't someone just give her a break. Her doctor promised her they would find another hospital that would perform the surgery.

So now she is 250 miles away from where I live and there is nothing I can do to help her. She has my dad thank god! Speaking of God, if you are listening..makes me really wonder how the only person I have known in my entire 32 years who never judged anyone, good, bad or indifferent can be let to suffer this way. She never has a bad thing to say about anyone and I think she has suffered enough. Can't she catch a break?? Just for once...never cheated, stole, passed judgement and the million in one other thing we as people are NOT supposed to do, but yet she is allowed to suffer one way or another.

I need Coffee!

So today I have a pretty busy day ahead of me. I have a lot of errands to run and somethings to do on line. My first task is to make coffee, which I will do after this post! My second thing is to look at some medical id jewelery and after that I am going to go check out some blogger friends of mine. It has been quite sometime since I have stopped over at their blogs. But first and foremost, I need coffee and I need it now! I just can't seem to wake up without it. Maybe it is a load of crap, I dunno but I am off to get some, see ya soon!

Things just seem to get worse

At work, at home things have just been pretty bad lately..Basically, I am exhausted and at the end of my rope. What more can I do besides pack up the Zero Halliburton and leave. Would that solve anything? Most likely not, but life is too short to live this way. I look back at the last few years of my life and there has been some good times and a lot of bad times. Unfortunately the good doesn't out weigh the bad. All I know is life really sucks right now and I am at the breaking point. I feel like I could snap at anytime and when I do it could get very ugly.

Been A Couple of Days

Hey, been MIA for a few days. dealing with some issues with Zachary. He has been having a hard time in school for quite awhile now. We think it has something to do with going to his father's house. Besides that the time change has been killing me! I am having the hardest time adjusting, I hope it will not take for ever to get used to it. Well, I guess I am going to check out information on a franchise or two. I am certainly not in the position to be buying a business but one can dream!

Off To My Father In Laws

We are going to my father in laws today, usually not an issue, I can deal with him for a short time. Unlike my mother in law, the thought of having to spend time with her makes my shutter and cringe. In all honesty, I would much rather jam a pencils in my eyes! Usually I lock the Schlage deadbolt and go do laundry when she comes over, but of course my husband lets her in.

Most of the time going to my father in laws house wouldn't bother me, this time is a little different. My sister in law and her brat kid are going to be there. Now I have known for a week that we would be going, BUT my darling husband just told me today that they were going too! That was a very important detail he left out and he did it for a reason. Reason, because I wouldn't have agreed to go if I knew that they would be there. Life is always full a chaos, screaming, whining and a bunch of shit. I swear the kid is bi-polar and yet no one takes her and has her checked out. I know it's not her fault, but it is crap I would just rather not have to deal with or be around. So I am sure it will be quite interesting!

So my imagination has been running wild lately. I recently saw an advertisement for Coaster furniture and I could imagine was furniture made from a bunch of coasters! LOL, that is obviously far fetched but I thought it sounded good! I am a little out of it, I have a lot on my mind and have been busy, so if I make no sense, that is would be the reason. I Think It Is Time

So we have seriously been thinking about contacting a real estate agent. I have my reservations about owning a home but the truck is almost paid off and once that is done there will be $450.00 extra a month. We could do it now but I am sure a mortgage will be more than what we pay in rent right now. Sure would be nice to not have to deal with people living in the same building. I guess I am just ready for something of my own!

No Vacation For Me

As much as I wanted to go on luxury vacations , yes more than one and preferably alone, that doesn't look like it will be happen anytime soon! First off, I could never swing going on a vacation by myself. At the minimum Zachary would have to come along with me and then I would have to listen to my husband whine, so I would have to take him as well. Then depending on what weekend it is, my step daughter would have to come along too. So in reality it would not be a vacation from anyone or anything, it would just be like being at home just cost a whole lot more!

Beer Pong vs. Ping Pong

LOL..have you ever played Beer Pong? Me either, although I would imagine it is derived from screwed up version of ping pong. Now can you believe that they are actually making a beer pong table! If you are an avid beer pong player, you can get very own table and have competitions at your house. Better than that, they look portable too! Fold it up stuff it in your car and take it where ever you go for a good dose of fun! Oh and don't kill anyone as you drive your drunk ass home again.

Parents, if you have one of these in your house and are wondering if it is really a ping pong table, take your head out of your butt cause your teenager and his/her friends are getting read for the toen ping pong competiton, they are getting drunk! Yes, I personally know some adults that are stupid enough to believe a story like
that!!

The Silent Treatment

A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each other the silent treatment.

Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him
at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight. Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper, "Please wake me at 5:00 AM." He left it where he knew she would find it.

The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight.Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed. The paper said, "It is 5:00 AM. Wake up."

All Done!

So I just finished up some party invitations for a friend. Talk about a process, I wasn't sure if I was going to have time to do them, but every minute counts. They are finished and ahead of schedule! Yipppee.............she will be soo excited.

Zachary had a much better day in school yesterday. I hope he keeps it up because I can's bear to see him mess up all the hard work he has done.

My PIA boss is out of the office today and Friday, I couldn't be more thrilled. He is a nice guy for the most part, a little arrogant but he is nice to me and the others in my department.

Workin Like A Dog

My new boss is working me like a dog. My husband is driving me nuts and my son makes me want to rip my hair out!

Ugh, I just need to go away, far away from everyone and everything. It just seems like people are driving me nuts where ever I go, people at work, my family, I really need some alone time. You know where I want to go? I want to go to Vegas and stay in one of the best Las Vegas hotels I can find. Lock myself in a room and get waited on hand an foot with no worries and drama to deal with . Quite frankly, I really think I am at my breaking point! I don't know, 35 more minutes and it is back to work!

Something Is Wrong

With my computer at home and it is pissing me off. I did a post earlier this morning and it showed up on my blog as I did it Monday and some of the sites I go to are up to date with new content. Now, this has happened to me before. All I needed to do was clear the browser cache and I was all set. It didn't work this time!! Any thoughts or ideas?

I Dropped It On The Floor & The Cat Pee'd On It

That is what Zachary told his heath teacher about what happened to the project he never did! HAHA..made me laugh and pissed me off at the same time! Someone is in some deep trouble tonight, that's for sure.

As I sit here and think about it, my imagination is running buck wild. I am treying to figure out if it was Miss Kitty or Emmitt that pee'd on the project. What happened to "the dog ate my homework"? This is a new one that kids of all ages could try..I guess..LOL.

Sigh..School Drama

So Zachary has been pretty bad in school lately! I don't know what is going on with him but for the last month it has been one thing or another. I checked out some Wilmington real estate and have mentally decided that is where he is going! Just kidding but it is driving me nuts. I feel like the old Zachary is coming back and I really don't like it.

A couple of things have gone through my head. Is it is seeing his father again or is it the special class he is in? Is there enough behavior issues in there that it is not starting to get to him? I certainly hope to find out soon because he has come so far this year and I hate to see it all go down the drain!

Sunday-Ugh!

Yesterday started off as any other Sunday, a day of laundry and house cleaning. About noon time my husband decided he was going to clean the truck and take Zachary to Burger King. As they were on their way out the door the lady from upstairs was coming down with one of her kids. Visibly upset, she kept saying "Water, dripping, gas, you come see" OOOOkkkay! They are Portuguese and the parents speak very little English. So out of curiosity we follow her down to the basement and sure enough there is water all over the basement floor. So me, my husband , her and her lid are all standing there looking at water pour out of OUR hot water heater. The kid says "Is that yours or ours?" Hello dummy, it says 1st floor on it in big letters! Now don't be hard on me, they are adult children who drive and work. Yes, there are two adult children who live at home with their parents.

My husband says "It's ours" as he explains the writing on the furnace. So he shuts the water off and goes upstairs to call the landlord, Joe. Joe is a very nice man, old school Italian. Within 10 minutes Joe and his cry baby son, another adult who I swear still lives at home, are their. They determine that the pressure relief valve needed to be replaced. They leave to go home and call the repair man.

Now back to these ding dongs adult children that live upstairs. I haven't quite figured out the role they play. They lurked around the basement and then when the repair man came they lurked around while he fixed our furnace. First of all. you had no idea if it was even your furnace and second of all you didn't even shut the water off. Next time there is a problem with my hot water heater, come knock at my door, don't just stand there and watch the hot water pour all over the floor and hope that it will stop! I know that it is not your money going all over the floor, but it is mine! Besides, seeing as the two of you couldn't figure out how to use a snow blower, maybe you shouldn't try to figure out anything else! In all honesty, I don't think you guys are very bright! Second of all, it is time to leave the nest, move on with life. Mommy and Daddy need a break!
