Come on People, Get A Job!!

How many times do I have to tell that person who is begging for money or cigarettes “NO” I mean come on now.

Last week I blogged about a guy with a gas can (man #1). Since then I was asked by another man (man #2), who I might add looked pretty clean and together, a lady on 4th of July asking for a cigarette (lady #1) and man #2 again this morning (I never forget a face, maybe a name, never a face!!)

This is how it is going to go down the next time someone asks me for something

Lazy person “Excuse me Ma’am, excuse me, would you happen to have spare change or maybe and extra cigarette?”

Me “ Ummm, extra change? Let’s see..NO..I spend $45.00 a day to send my son to private counseling, $ 2.50 a day for ice coffee and $5.25 a day on cigerettes. All that on a salary of around $120.00 a day. You tell me where I have extra money to give to you!
As for the extra cigarette, you give me 50 cents of the money you just received from begging and I will consider it. Heck, I get 20 in a pack just like everyone else, further more the last time I checked it wasn’t buy 20 get one free!!!"
