Dishes and Maniacs

So there have been a couple of downfalls since moving. Fairly stupid things but enough to bother me! First of all, there is a screaming maniac living next door and now I have only one kitchen sink instead of two kitchen sinks never had two separate ones, just the big sink with twp basins. For what ever reason this bothers me more than the screaming maniac that lives next door! We have been here almost 3 months and yet dishes are a pain in the butt every time! Ugh, I guess I need to use more paper plates! Speaking of dishes, I suppose I should go heat up my lunch since I did drive home today..I certainly wish I could stay here.

Ugh...Collection Agencies

My poor sister in law had one of those commercial collection agencies call her house the other day. By the time she got off the phone with them she was in tears. Apparently they had harassed her to the point that she just couldn't take it any longer. I told her that the harassment was against the law and she could file a complaint against them. I am glad I haven't had to deal with a collection agency. I don't take well to being threatened and demoralized like that. I am sure they are all not bad like this one who called her but one bad one can give the whole industry a bad name. Moral of the story, Pay your bills!

2-0..Way To Go!

So our our boys, the Plainville Colts (A Squad) won again last night. All though they won by the skin of there teeth, they should be proud of themselves. The final score was 7 Plainville - 0 Water Oak. The game was a close one right to the very end, I mean when you are sitting on the edge of your seat through the entire game up till the last 7 seconds, you know it was good. I had meant to bring my camera, I wanted to take pictures to post but I forgot.

Our last 2 games have been away so my mind is busy with making sure I have food and Gatorade for Zac. Yesterday we left at 3 pm and didn't get home till 8:20 pm. The next 3 games are at home and the field is just about within walking distance! I'll be sure to bring the camera this Sunday (I hope I remember)... GO COLTS

How Old Are You?

Sometimes I wonder how old my husband is mentally, especially when he has a few drinks! It is almost like the 12 year old comes out! Actually he reminds me a lot of his dad. It amazes me how much his personality is like BOTH of his parents.

It was about 10:30 pm last night and my son was on the computer and on the phone at the same time. He also had the music playing on the computer, talk about multi-tasking! So my husbands 12 year old personality comes out for a conversation and he says "You know, I don't think he should be allowed to chill on the computer, talk on the phone and play the music down there like he owns the place if I can't watch the game and smoke a cigarette down there with out the neighbors having an issue." We learned that the walls are not very thick at our new place a couple of weeks ago. Zach had a late game 2 Sundays ago and I recorded the Cowboys game for my husband. He watched it downstairs and I guess he proceeded to smoke. The next day the neighbor commented about it. Oops! So I said" Well I don't think he is acting like he owns the place, I think he is acting like a kid." So my husband continues to whine and demand that I tell him to come upstairs "Well we aren't going to allow this to happen are we? Don't you think that he should come up now. It is getting really late."

I personally don't have an issue with it, I couldn't hear anything and quite honestly 10:30 isn't that late. But my husband and his drunk alter ego have a need to nit pick together. Sometimes, like last night, I ignore it. There are time thought that I can tell that he is not going to let it go and I will ask Zach to not do what ever my husband is complaining about. I guess that you have to compromise sometimes just to keep the drama away. Trust me, it doesn't take much for my husband to go into dramatic mode!

Well my husband and is alter ego want me to check out some online car insurance companies and get a few quotes to see if we can save some more money. I wish he would learn to do these things too.

Will I Get It?

So I have made the leap, the leap of looking for a new job!. I worked a 1/2 a day yesterday and went on a job interview. It was scary at first, seeing as it has been years since I been on my last interview but for the most part, with the exception of a couple of blunders, it went very well. I was told that I would be called for a second interview, more of a computer skills test but I was so far the most qualified person for the job. The only issue is, it pays less money! But money isn't everything, right? How much less I am not sure, I will have to wait and see.

As for my blunder, well I don't think it hurt me to much. When the gentleman realized that I may not know what they did he was a little embarrassed and he ask if the human resources lady had told me. I replied" No she didn't BUT I do know what your company makes, I checked out your website." Knowing I had earned some brownie points there by the way he smiled, I said " This company makes orthodontic (here is were I lose my thought), orthodontic, umm (now I am stuck without a word, why I don't know and I blurt out) orthodontic STUFF." Needless to say, I wanted to die. I think he knew by the look on my face that it just poured out of my mouth. He smiled with a little chuckle and said" Well the orthodontic STUFF you are referring to is wire, we are in the process of trying to get approved for brackets as well."

So all in all it went good, I hope the money isn't to much less than what I make now. But then again, medical isn't a field I have ever worked in and the job is quality/procurement and I have never worked in procurement either. He told me straight out the only way to get more money is to take on more responsibilities other than that, you get your yearly review and increase. Right now I am not going to worry about it because the benefit package will have a lot to do with my decision as well.
