Out of No Where

So my ceel phone has been busy the last few days. Call are coming in left and right from the long, lost parent and his wife.. That's right, Z's Dad and stepmom have decided once again that maybe Z should be a part of thier lives.

It all started with a call about Z's birthday, he is turning 13 in ten days (oof, already?) and we are haveing a party for him and I thought it would be appropriate for his sister's to be there. I never expected it to turn into much more than that, but it has.

I was talking with his father on Tuesday, who apparently has alot to say cause he decided that we need to sit down and talk this weekend. While I was on the phone with him, his wife calls. She called to ask if Z could go with the girls and have a family photo done with them! Holy shit (really my first thought) this is a completly new revalation. He has never been included in the picture with the girls, not one! So, I told her I would call back, I was on the other line. I spoke with his dad some more and we decided that we would sit down and chat. Quite honestly, I wanted to ask if she was feeling okay!

I called C (stepmom) back and we talked for a little while and I expressed my feeling about the 3 years (atleast) of lost time. We agreed that even though alot has happened that for Z's sake we needed to out the past behind us and move on. I explained that it will not be that easy for Z, that he is the one who has been most hurt by this situation and that they will need to sit down, talk with him and that an apology is due and most nessacary!

If you remember, Z's dad did not speak to him on Christmas Eve and I think that Z was hiding the pain. He was given and opprotunity to talk with his dad and he said no! I sat down and talked with Z and explained that if he really wanted to have a relationship with him, he needed to atleast start talking over the phone. I was very proud of him, last night he did talk to his dad, alot of joking, nothing serious, but I certainly expect A (dad) to man up and apologize to Z. My son has been very angry with his dad and he should not just sweep it under the carpet!

So after atleast a 3 year absense, Dad has stormed into Z's life!

For Sale-ummm..NO FREE to good home

Can I sell my husband? Actually I am willing to give him away to the first person and or person's who want him. Not really sure what he will do to help around the house, really depends on how mad you get. Don't let him clean to much cause then he will act like the whole world should bow down to him and give him praise.

As for the laundry, that is a no-no, he will mix colors and white, throw things that don't belong in the drier, in the drier. Not his clothes though, he makes sure that his non drierables <--is not really a word, don't go in the drier.

He doesn't like to get up in the morning by himself so you will also need to be the personal alarm clock, the lunch lady to make his lunch, the valet service to move the truck so you can get your car out of the garage.

Seasons Are Changing

I love it when I come out of work at 5 pm and have the chance to see a sunset like this. It just re enforces that Spring is on it's way and the dark evenings of Winter soon going to be a thing of the past.

Can I Go To The Bookstore?

Z called me yesterday at wok and asked if he could go to the new book store that just opened in out town. I just about fell over, Z go to a book store? Thanks Goodness!!

Z and two of his friends hoped on their bikes and rode over there. I guess his school was doing some sort if fundraiser with a new bookstorethat just opened. The school was really promoting that the kids and their families go there, so that must mean there was a catch. You bet your ass their was a catch! Apparently you make your purchase and the bookstore tacks on another 20% to your final bill. That 20% goes to the school...whoa, why doesn't the bookstore give 20% of their final sales for the day?? You have to add on another 20% to the consumer? Don't get me wrong, I think the community should get involved in school fundraising but so should the businesses. So needless to say, after the cost of the book, the taxes and the 20% add on, Z did not have enough money to purchase the book he wanted! Seeing as it is a book he wants, I guess I will go and get it for him anyways..
